Debt calculation done and we are now at £5345. Fingers crossed we will be in the 4's next month!
Have made a slight balls up though, was super sure that Bcard 0% ran out at the end of Feb, but having made a balance transfer elsewhere, I now find out that it's 0% until July!!! Doh! This means I've paid £65 to transfer a balance earlier than I needed to, however it's good news for the £950 that is still left on that card!!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Lucky,
I don't blame you in the slightest for feeling drained. Every day must be a juggling act for you as it is and to add the latest debacle to it - well, I think a tantrum is well justified.
Pity about the Bcard - but rather transfer early than remember late and have charges creeping up (as I've read others have had).
I hope you can enjoy the weekend and the weather isn't too bad where you are. xxx0 -
Thanks JAT.
It's chucking it down here and cold and windy. It could be so much worse though, so for that I'm thankful. It's the start of half term here too so I'm looking forward to some family time - as long as we don't all end up hating each other .
Hope you are ok too XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hello :hello:
Don't you dare feel bad for saying you feel self indulgent for admitting to how you feel :grouphug: I know that my problems are nothing to some people on here, but they are something to me and the same goes for you (and anyone else in a similar position). I think as Steph (think it was Steph??) said on my diary that these winter months are the hardest for us all. I often get very down in this horrible weather, I can't go out as much as I'd like, I can't sunbathe and top up my vit D , and I know I eat far more carp like chocolate and heavy carbs because it's cold and I want comfort. I think that nearly everyone I talk to suffers from some degree of SAD in these months and the thing is just to watch it and make sure it doesn't get too much. We're all here for you and I hope you (and I) are out of the doldrums soon :kisses3:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Thank you both :A.
Tonight's dramas have been courtesy of the Gas & Leccy company.
Received an email stating that my direct debit amount is not enough to cover the projected costs of the next 12 months, and they will be putting my bill up by £61 per month from 2 weeks time .
Hang on, isn't that the same company that refunded me £350 in December and reduced my monthly payment by £15 (they suggested more, I said no), because I was sooooo much in credit???!!!
Rang them to discuss, and make sure they were aware that not only is that the case but we are a low income family and we have been awarded a Warm Homes grant which will be applied to the account in April, thus putting us further in credit.
Advisor calmly tells me that oops, their fault, they shouldn't have refunded me in December because (insert a load of confusing jargon) and basically I owe them £211 :eek::eek:.
Then he dumps me in a queue for another department who do not answer after 30mins waiting, by which time they are about to close. Total call time 58 minutes. Total achieved zero (if you don't count stress).
Angry message sent via their online complaint form. At least I think it sent, you press submit and it just clears the whole screen!! They are open tomorrow 8am - 1pm. Do we think I will get a call back??!! :rotfl:Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Oh PLMBL..what a few days and now this. Such carp.
You do so well and have to deal with so much. You are an inspiration.
Sock it to the utility companies....their fault. They can sort it out and if there is a deficit then they need to give you a sensible repayment plan...or you will have to get your MP involved...MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

hmmm yes! was the previous decrease done over the phone only or also my mail? if you have a letter where they say you are in uber credit and they want to seriously drop your payments and now THIS letter then you have them ny the short and curlies for lying I would reckon!Must use my stash up!0

Oh honey what an absolute load of carp the utility company has dumped on you. I hope as knitwitch has asked that you have written proof of their incompetence.
Sorry you are feeling down, the weather, the time of year, the carp with benef1ts people, all loaded on top of your normal day to day stress is enough to sink the strongest of people. You are the least self indulgent person I know.
I hope you have a better day tomorrow
