:mad: to the utilities co! Prob scared to ring you back!!Keep a record of everything said and when, and keep pushing that it was their fault! Unbelievable!!!!

Lucky, I tempted fate when I told the tale of a council tax bill generated in November for a house I'd sold in October. I got a summons through the post this weekend!!!! OMG. I immediately emailed them, and my local MP. I got a reply from MPs office today with a copy of their email to the council. Court date set for 28 February. I suggested in my email to council that I turn up with the letters and statements showing that the house was sold 1st October, refund given and banked 13 November, and "sweep" of empty properties done two days later, so that the judge could laugh them out of court and award me costs. No wonder some councils have no money.
Hope you're feeling a bit better this evening. Did you cry out some ounces, lol. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Morning PLMBL
So sorry to hear you have had more hassle, now with the electricty company. That is really annoying to get a rebate and then they virtually want it back two months later .
Have you called them yet?. I doubt there is anyway to get out of having to pay most of it back but they should maybe discount some off for all the inconvenience and then spread whats left over a longer period. To up your monthly payments an extra £60 if disgusting.
Hope you are feeling stronger today. Things will turn a corner for you soon I am sure.
Keep smiling xxx0 -
Lucky - I've just caught up with your diary and can't believe your latest problems with the power company! What a nightmare! When I was having problems with nPower I contacted their Executive Complaints Department - does your power company have a similar department? I can really sympathise with you when it seems life just keeps throwing one thing or another at you.
Hope things are looking better today and you get sorted out soon.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Evening all, thanks for popping by!
Well dentist went ok yesterday but DS1 (aged 9) needs a filling . Thankfully in a baby tooth! Have to go back Friday. DH also needs to go Friday as he has lost a filling and I'm there tomorrow to see the hygienist!! We are certainly keeping them busy this week!
Swimming was great and very well timed - we had the pool to ourselves!! Not bad for a total cost of £1.90 :rotfl:. We pretended we lived in a mansion and we were in our own private pool :rotfl:. We can but dream! On the way back we called into Mr T's and DS2 (aged 4) insisted on buying some flowers for me "because he loves me"! :A That boy will go far, not least because I paid and he got all the credit.
By the time we got home, had tea and got settled it was 7pm so I didn't call F1rst Ut1l1ty last night. I did that this afternoon and after an hour it was decided that if I pay the £211 outstanding they will keep my direct debit amount the same, despite the fact they know £150 will be credited in April from the warm grant and we are a low income family. Thankfully I still have the money to one side but bye bye new carpet. I didn't even get to speak to a manager as a large portion of the hour on the phone was spent in queues waiting to get through to departments, so I've typed and posted a letter of complaint, hopefully I will get somewhere with that!
Apart from battling utility companies today, we have been to a local wildlife and wetlands centre, using a family voucher that I won before Christmas. It was a couple of hours well spent and exercise and fresh air for the boys. The walk obviously paid off as I lost 2lbs at weigh in tonight :T.
Didn't sleep very well last night so off to bed soon I think. XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Satchmo this is awful! What a waste of your time and their money! Obviously though I hope you are awarded costs, and it's good to hear the MP is on your side! Will be willing you to win XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Well hellooooo Smarties!! How the devil are you?!
Today has been pretty full on. Hygienist at dentist this morning for a scale and polish, the off to Mr A's as they had a free Lego event on today. The boys each got a free figure which pleased DS2 no end! Then we went on to the park for an hour and then a shopping outlet to get new shoes for the boys which left me £40 poorer, but as they have both gone up a whole size it was a necessary spend .
Tonight we have been out to dinner at DS1's request, using the vouchers he won for being runner up in the Little Heroes Competition. It was long overdue, however I didn't realise how overdue until they pointed out the vouchers expired on New Year's Eve!!! They still accepted them though as even the Manager thought it was off that they sent them in October and they expired in December! Stuck to the diet for main course but must admit to sampling a little of everyone else's puddingsDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
