    Congratulations on the weight loss

as to continuing to feel sad, it's bound to hit you at key dates so be kind to yourself and give yourself time to grieve. It's something you learn to cope with but never forget.

    Excuse me a moment

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH

Sorry about that, I really needed it.

Ok, so today DH had an appointment with the company that the government pay to 'help get him back to work even though he is nowhere near ready and it's all a pointless pen pushing exercise'. We had a phonecall to book the appointment, a letter to confirm it and then a reminder text about it last night.
We of course went happily :p.
We dug the car out of the snow, drove into town, fell out on the way because DH tried to tell me how best to drive in the snow, paid to park in an expensive multi-storey carpark, trudged through howling wind to the office and then....
we were told by a receptionist "it's staff training this morning, all appointments have been cancelled, you should have got a letter, a phonecall and a text to tell you". Er, no.
I was furious, DH was more furious and he doesn't manage his anger politely so I had to usher him out before he did or said something he'd regret.
I made a resolve to complain. This is the company who almost had DH's benefit stopped because they didn't understand why I rearranged his appointment when it clashed with nursery pick up, and they didn't see why DH couldn't attend alone. The same company moved offices without telling us so we went to the wrong place, have no notes on their system apart from 'motorcycle accident' and regularly don't send appointment letters, we just get a text the night before 'reminding us' about an appointment the next day.
    Then it got even better.
The advisor we were supposed to see rang up to find out why we hadn't attended the appointment this morning :mad:. Not only had she not cancelled the appointment, but when no one told her we'd turned up anyway she tried to catch us out for not going to a non appointment so she could report us again!!!!!
    I was LIVID.
Rang and spoke to Senior Operations Manager to make a complaint. Told her everything from year dot. She was very nice and is refunding our travel costs for today. She will also feed back all issues. Not much else but at least I got to say my side.
    I'm still LIVID though.
    How very dare they.
Told them that not all people using the benefits system are scum or cheats and do not deserve to be treated as such.

    I'm soooooooo mad.
Had a c@rp rest of day because DH and I have both been in moods.
    Fed up.
    Wanna run away.

  • My mouth is open just reading that. Indeed, "how very dare they"?!!!!

I don't blame either of you for being in moods. I certainly would be.

Hope the rest of the day improves.
