Hi plmbl, Just checking you are okay and find you have been a bit down again recently but it seems like the day out at the farm has helped you a bit. Pity about DH's mood, though a good idea to use the code word again.

£8.75 for a bag of unwanted clothes is good. I might do that with DS's school clothes I have found have been lurking in a bag in his wardrobe. He is in his 20s so I don't tend to look in his wardrobe. :D

Lol Pooh, boys will be boys however old they are!

    What SBO said.

And MIL - how FAB. :):)

bloody well done for completing shift at work.

there was something else but have the attention span of a...............

oh your code word - V clever.

    and Massive hugs XXXX

Buffy, believe it or not the word is Spinach!! DH chose it. He doesn't even like spinach :rotfl: Xx

I hope that your appt about the MRI will get you some answers regarding OH condition. Could his anger be from worry about what they ar going to say to him?

    chev

Thanks chev! The MRI and EEG both showed that DH has had a brain trauma and he is susceptible to seizures, which is what we already knew. However, his patterns are quite settled so they believe his current medication to be working and won't be changing anything. Hopefully this is good news.

We saw the Epilepsy nurse again who suggested she ask the consultant if I can be given a drug to administer to DH if he has another seizure. I would use a pipette to squirt it on his gums which apparently closes down the seizure if it lasts more than 5 minutes, or if he comes out of one and goes back in to another. I like the idea of having it 'just incase'. We will see what the consultant says.

Last night I took the Beavers on a trip to a Pet store chain which was really good. They got to hold rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs, and apart from one escapee hamster incident (which was eventually recaptured!) it was fab.

I haven't felt great today and thought i was getting the sicky bug that DS2 had recently so I've had a sleep this afternoon and feel a bit better. Fingers crossed for a good result on the scales at fat class later. If I lose 3lbs per week that's 3 stone for Christmas (as of last week). I lost 3 last week and hoping for the same again tonight.

    Hope everyone is well Xx

Miss Hinge has rescue medication Buccal Midazolam for seizures that don't self end in 5 minutes, i can count on 1 hand how many times she has needed it in the last 3 years but it is a much welcomed safety net!

    Hope all is well

  • That's it Mrs Hinge! Couldn't for the life of me remember what it was called!! Thank you. It's good to hear you have it too as they were very stressful of the fact that it's not licensed yet but I'm pleased you've found it useful. I don't know how you cope with all you have on your plate! Xx

  • Nicky Graham's flailing arms were my inspiration :rotfl:I say that all the time and often the tumbleweed rolls by but if there's a BB fan round then much laughter as everyone knows what you are talking about. Love it :D

Go you skinny minny, I have popped a stone back on . Am peed off at myself but I am a HUGE stress eater and as you know my life is pretty erratic just now with house/ money blah blah so my jaws are on overtime. I wish I was the type who didn't eat when I was stressed. My cupboards and freezers are bulging, and I mean bulging, at the seams. It's ridiculous. So not only do I eat too much but I buy WAY WAY too much. I will get back on track once house is back to normal
    hopefully :o

Good news re DH as status quo is better than a worsening xx

They are in the middle of changing all the drugs/ doses and brandings of it over so they are having to get me protocols and licensings in place...... It has caused havoc for schools as they cant administer it until everything is in place, new training given and the child has had a test dose of it first!

I keep swimming, i have lost track of the last 3 weeks it doesn't bare to think about it! :rotfl: before i cry!

Like the idea of a code word..we had that for a while. Worked brilliantly..not for the medical reasons that your OH unfortunately has but just to let the other person know a line was being crossed! Ours was Monday..:rotfl: as OH didn't like Mondays either! :D

  • Well I dont know who that Nicky person is either, because i dont watch BB. Mind, I dont want britains got talent, the x factor strictly come dancing or the celebrity jungle thing. Therefore I only know of celebrities who have become celebrities for something other than being annoying in a house or trying to sing.

Unfortunately, I am subjected to one direction by my daughter but I couldnt tell you which crock of dirge served them up.

Lets face it whoever Heaton is she is a nobody who probably had a risque shower or was a bit of a cow on national telly- perhaps she sang badly too. I dont know. Connor is the real winner. He has saved his dad- and his family. He has the security and assurance of knowing he can help out. His confidence should grow expodentially and he can take so many positives out of whats happened and the fact so many people liked him and his story.

I love spinach- as a word and a food, its catchy and was popular with popeye to boot!

So glad there is something to help, the seizures must be absolutely terrifying.
    Trying to shift that debt!
