Popped into M&S earlier with a view to spending my vouchers on clothes, but nothing took my fancy enough to pay their prices. I don't know if I'm just tight these days or what, but £40 for a top seems extortionate. I'd like at least 2 for that price :p. Will have a trip to their outlet store this week I think and see what they have there.

M&S seem to have pretty good on-line sales periodically..
Prepped my old iPhone 4 to sell as well and MIL has given me her old one too (iPhone 3). Will do that tomorrow hopefully as the new one is due out on thurs I think, and the old ones will be worth less then.

Wow, I've never been wealthy enough to buy App!e products [:(] - you must have been doing summat right, Lucky! ;)
  • I had a birthday party to go to on Saturday and there were 40+ 4/5 yr olds  it was so noisy I nearly went deaf and have had a headache ever since!

I like the winter boots that m&s do and also their make up/nail polishes. They also do lots of skin care and bath stuff so you could always spend some money on that instead. If I fitted into their underwear i'd buy that with the money if it were me, but I don't (maybe you do? They do pretty matching sets :) )

    xx

  • to the sleepovers. I used to wonder where kids get the energy from, but when you see the amount of sugar in junk food and drinks they consume in the space of a couple of hours.... Well, I don't wonder any more, put it like that! :o

    Hope you've since recovered!! :)

Hi Lucky - you could always save your vouchers untill the sales. £40 is way too much for a top. Glad you survived the sleepover.

I got my old iPhone on a contract just before DH's accident. No upfront charge for the phone but £35 a month for 2 years!! Been meaning to sell it for months (since the contract ended) but amazingly kept forgetting about it until MIL offered me her old one the other day. Unfortunately they wouldn't buy either of them off me at C3X or Gr@inger games today :(. MIL's has the tiniest crack in the bottom where the charger goes which is almost invisible to the naked eye. Apparently it's a design fault so they look for it straight away. My old phone has a little scuff on the screen which they said might pixelate the screen . Oh well, eb@y it is then!!

Thanks for all the tips re M&S. I definitely need clothes with it (not wine SBO :rotfl:) so will look for sales stuff.

Went back to the gym this morning. Shattered but feel good for going.

  • Tutting aloud at grainger games. I know I like to mention wine incase people had not thought of it. :)

  • Bought a coat today with my New L00k birthday vouchers. It scanned at the till for £29.99 not £39.99 as it said on the tag :j

Went on a 2 hour walk after lunch! Feet are wrecked but exercise should help with the weight loss :D.

DH got weighed in B00ts this morning and has gained 6lbs this week . I was therefore really panicked about getting weighed tonight as we have had a blowout week with the birthdays etc. Anyway, I only gained half a pound :j. I'm really pleased with that but I'm determined to restart the weight loss journey properly.

Not much happening apart from that. Been awaiting Aunt Flo and she is quite a few days late for a normal cycle. However, after the miscarriage I suppose anything can be considered normal. Still no news from the hospital re the tests on the twins.

Well done on the miniscule change to your weight, I'm sure that can be easily removed next week and yes perfectly normal after what your body has been through ;)

Glad to hear you had a bargain with your coat, I love it when that happens

I'm assuming no news from Michelle yet?

  • No Granny, nothing re the competition at all. I did however read the other day that Michelle is currently on her jollies, so I don't suppose she is available to judge competitions at the moment!! Xx
