Well we made it to Alnwick Castle and have had a fabulous day. DH's best friend, his girlfriend and his DGS all came too and the weather couldn't have been better. DS2 dressed up as Harry Potter and we got some brilliant photos of him doing the broomstick training amongst other things. As I'd already paid for the tickets via groupon and we took a picnic, all we spent was £3.50 to park and £5.10 on icecreams and an extra drink. We did go up into the treehouse but we just walked around it rather than having anything to eat or drink.
5 hours of walking round means my feet are aching and we are all tired but happy. Early nights all round I think!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

DS2 had to have his pre-school booster jabs today
:( He was very brave with the first one but tried to wriggle away when he knew the 2nd one was coming! He's been ok since but they did say he could be a bit off colour for up to 10 days. Fingers crossed that's a massive exaggeration!
DH went with his best friend's girlfriend to her uncle's house today. He's elderly and has let his house and garden go, and DH offered to tackle the garden for him while she tackled the house. They were there for hours and on the way out the guy slipped him £40!!! Bless him. Our cupboards were bare and we were down to the last toilet roll so we nipped to Mr A's tonight and did a bit of a top up shop. As nice as it was to get the reward though, DH was just as happy to feel useful and like he had helped someone out.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

That was lovely of the elderly gentleman to pay your OH for the work.
Is that something your OH can think of doing in the future when he feel well enough, offering his services as a handyman/gardener as he could work at his own pace and be self employed.
Hope DS2 feels ok and the jabs havn't made him feel poorly.0 -
