Yay to DH being given £40 for helping out. Not only is the money useful but it will help him feel more valued.

Ouch for poor DS2 wriggling makes it worse!

What have you planned for the weekend? I hope it is a good one. Killhope are doing a Victorian fair on Sunday. free entry if dressed in Victorian clothes. When our kids were little we all dressed up and got in free. Boys wore Dad's shirts with sleeves rolled up, old tweed caps and braces on their trousers. I wore a long skirt and shawl.

  • Hi everyone, yes it was lovely of the guy to give DH some cash but that's genuinely not why he did it, he just wanted to help. PWPS, it's definitely something he fancies doing when he is fit for work again.

I'm not well today and after ringing the midwife for advice she sent me to the doctor. I've been feeling sick, dizzy, headachy and have been getting strange feelings in my arms. They are numb from the elbows to wrists and then pins and needles in my hands. Dr took all my vitals which were normal and then said I have a viral infection for which all she can prescribe is rest and plenty of fluids. She said the feelings in my arms are because the virus restricts the blood flow at a time when I have 4 extra pints of blood trying to get through and my body can't cope.

Anyway, on to the good news!!! I entered DS1 into a Little Heroes competition for the time he called 999 just before Christmas when his Dad had a seizure. He's one of 10 finalists!!! He's already won a family meal at a Fayre and Square restaurant and a month's Wacky Warehouse pass, but if he wins overall he wins a £1k holiday :j:j I'm so proud!!! The next stage is a facebook vote for the 10 finalists, opening monday, and then the final 3 are then judged by Michelle Heaton for the overall winner. I've got everything crossed. DS1 is strutting like a peacock :rotfl:
