  • Fab post Fudgie, thank you! Can't believe you spent all that time reading my diary!

I'd forgotten about my pity party in the coffee shop :o. I'm hoping that's a good thing! I'm feeling more positive about myself at the moment, a combination of being in control of my weightloss and having had my hair done I think. I still have a long way to go but I don't feel quite like a bag-lady anymore! You are right about the little home pamper things I could do to help myself feel better and more sparkly though! Will get on to that!

Will also seek out the book thank you, it sounds great. I've got my hands on the James Cracknell book as well, about how he and his wife have coped since his head injury, and I'm looking forward to reading that.

We've had a fabulous day out :D. Being onboard HMS Dauntless was humbling and inspiring. The boys loved it. They had helicopters onboard to be sat in too, guns to hold (), uniforms to wear and crew to chat to. We went into the medical quarters, operations room and saw the giant missiles etc. Really interesting and completely free!

There are some outlet shops near the marina and we went there afterwards to get the boys some new trainers each, and DS1 needed school shoes too. All 3 pairs came in at just under £55 but MIL gave me £20 towards them :D. We also met my Mum, Grandma, Auntie and Cousin for coffee there which was lovely (though I did eat the free choc that came with my drink - well it WAS Th0rnt0ns, who could resist??!!). Xx

  • Pah to photos. I hate em  Lying little !!!!!!s make you fat :rotfl:.

I found loads of pics from my Mum's house and had asked DS to scan them into the computer but I went through them first as a wee trip down memory lane . Well ! I found one which completely and utterly horrified me. It is now hidden in my knicker drawer where it will stay as a reminder to me that I MUST continue with my diet. I was sitting in a wee holiday home and was beetroot with sunburn. My chins, yes plural, were out in force, I had horrible specs on. I had cut off trousers and a vest top on and the fat was sitting in rolls right down to my beautifully swollen ankles, All I needed was a tooth or 2 to be missing and I would have fitted right in on Jeremy Kyle. I look like a simpleton :rotfl:. I have kept it for when I get to target weight and am in the magazine and the national newspapers ( said tongue in cheek obviously) as my before pic :rotfl::rotfl:. Every time I go in my knicker drawer I almost vomit !!

  • Don't worry about photos, everyone looks at themselves and focusses too hard on their flaws until they're all out of proportion. Just concentrate on how happy everyone looks.

You can't be worried about looking too big, I know you're not far off me and I look fine. :p

  • Cheers for that Fudgie! Heaven forbid I should infer that you look anything other than fine :p.

    Robin, I'm thrilled we went!

HAW you are most welcome, let me know if I can be of any further assistance Xx

Today we've had a lovely surprise - MIL has paid for DH, the boys and I to have a little caravan holiday in the May half term :j. We will be away Monday-Fri and it looks very posh for a caravan! It's in a Hav3n holiday park so lots on site for the kids to do. We are thrilled! She wanted to do something to cheer DH up and give us something to look forward too. It's also around the general time baby would have been due so it's nice we have something positive happening then. I bought her some flowers as a Thank You.
