Hi Be Lucky, :hello:
Oh poor DS! Hope he feels better today - might have known something would happen to ensure your last Saturday at work is remembered..
Keeping fingers crossed that you are given sitting-down jobs as much as possible today - Good Luck!0 -
Hi Be Lucky,
You have been through so much and you are coping with it all with style and grace. I can't say anything more helpful than lainey, satch and the others but I do agree that some therapy with a specialist would be a good idea. Sending love and a hugMortgage: £280,752/ £262,515.84

Hiya glad OH is feeling a little better.
I sympathize with the plantar fascia I had it for ages and it was agony. I was a schools' librarian so I was on my feet most of the time. There were times when it was so bad I could have cried and I bet you are the same. I had the operation to have the piece of extra bone removed. I thought it would be painful getting back onto my feet but 2 weeks after the op I was great not limping about and feeling a whole lot better. Just another thing you'll have to see your doctor about and I suppose if he goes down the op root you'll have to do a whole lot of planning and getting the family to all pull together again. It is worth it in the long run as pain can drain you without you actually realizing it's that.
Its your last day tell them you can't stand and ask for a sit down job if possible They can only send you home......
Hugs all round.keep smiling as you invariably do at life and what it's thrown at you.

Hi all, thanks for all the lovely messages. I survived my shift at work and I'm home, fed and watered. Just to clarify, today was my last Saturday at work but I will still be continuing to work there for 3 hours every Thursday. I actually work on the pizza counter at Mr A's so no sitting down on the job possible. As far as my foot problems go, I was told by my doctor that it normally clears up after a year and true to form my right foot did get better almost a year to the day later. Then my left foot started
. I've got about 8 months to go for the left one to sort itself. My Auntie had the same problem and had the op, but she suffered badly afterwards so it put me off the idea. It's good to hear a positive story about that route lainey, and I would be more likely to consider it if needs be.
DS1 is a bit better and hasn't been sick since 11am, however he looks very pale and is exhausted. Hopefully he will be right again after a full nights sleep.
New Leaf thank you for the hug, and right back at ya!
Pooh, I've googled newcastle carers and will get in touch with them. Thank you XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

PLMBL I had ultra ( sound/sonic not sure which one) from physio for plantar problem and it was miraculous. Our hospital has a refer yourself physio department and it was fabulous. My foot was so bad I had a disabled parking place at work as I just could not walk for any length. I remember crawling around the house rather than goon my foot. One day I arrived for my physiotherapy and I had to park about 100yds from the door of the hospital and I burst into tears as I had no idea how I was going to get into the department. My hip was out of line too as I was favouring my other foot and my back was agony as I was walking twisted to protect my foot. Bad times. I still get twinges in it but I know what to do now and I wouldn't hesitate to go back for physio again. Worth a try xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
Thanks for that MiT! Ultra sound/sonic sounds very interesting! I had physio for my broken elbow this time last year and mentioned my foot problem at the time, so she quickly showed me some exercises I could do at home. They do help, but it's not like getting specific help from someone who knows what they are doing! The main problem is that I can keep going and push through the pain, but if I stop it's very difficult to get started again. After a while of sitting down I can't put any weight on my foot and it takes a while to be able to walk properly again. Getting up in the mornings is a nightmare!
DS1 is much better this morningbut the snow has continued boo
. I'd planned to take the kids onboard HMS Dauntless which is at North Shields Quay today, but not sure if we will still go ahead with that or not.

Hi PLMBL :A
I've been catching up with people's diaries on here over the past week and I've left yours to a lazy Sunday morning as I knew I would have missed loads and your merry band of supporters would have had plenty to say too! I've been here for about an hour and a half, and I can honestly say as an overview that things are going more your way than not going your way. :j
I was interested in your wobble in the coffee shop a few weeks ago when you were looking at all the shiny haired beings coming and going - I have impossibly shiny hair due to spending £89 on it every six weeks (I know, I know). Beneath the roots though, I am sick with jealousy of all the people with their nice little families to go home to every night and the warmth that seems to exude from their homes. Everything you have is worth so much more. That said, as you will have seen from my diary, I am a staunch believer in looking a bit better = feeling a bit better, so why not just do little things like paint your fingernails in front of the soaps? Little things like that perk me up in that respect and they're mega cheap.
I'm sorry to hear DH has been low recently but as others have said, it's all part of an acceptance process. I noticed Satchmo mentioned a book about a blackdog, it's actually called 'I had a black dog' and is by Matthew Johnstone. It's a lovely little book, someone bought it for me last year when my problems were at their height. There's very little reading and lots of very touching, very amusing illustrations. If you can get it from the library I recommend it.
Massive congratulations on the weight loss, you are doing brilliantly! In the time since I declared war on my weight I've just lost and regained the same three pounds three times over. You must be near my weight now, I'm going to be reading your diary for the motivation I desperately need! Well done you.
Hope you have a lovely day out. xxBarclaycard [STRIKE] £2770 [/STRIKE] now £2690.
