Take your own legal but well thought path.
Two people on benefits who decide to live together!
That's what people DO.
So !!!! those who think it's some sort of scandal that we have love lives!#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

Turning a cry for help into an extension of DT or Discussion Time is one fabulous example dear @OP why Auntie Wouldbe's Advice is worth listening too.
Everywhere else on here they are fab or potentially fab but here they turn into a moralising pack of wolves.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

Not that we needed a study to tell us that, but here it is:-
Britain has the highest proportion of single mothers in the European Union and, surprise, surpise, one of the highest rates of benefits for single mothers
http://www.thewelfarestatewerein.com/archives/2006/09/britain_has_the.phpWhat has happened to men these days? It's a very sad state of affairs when (some) men expect to get extra money given to them, because they have stepchildren. Don't you see a single monther and her children as one package?
My step father said he was proud to get 3 new daughters when he married my mother. Shortly after marrying my mother, he paid for my older sister's wedding! But that was back in the days when men were real men.0 -

People on benefits are entitled to love lives don't let ANYONE else or ANYTHING else tell you otherwise.
Ummmm no-one has said otherwise.
Merely than when her b/f, who is nearly on 30K a year, moves in she will lose all her benefit. She was complaining about being skint to it was suggested to up her hours but she would rather provide free childcare to her sisters than provide for her own family.
But hey, don't let any of that stop you with your ramblings and inaccuracies.0 -
If the State thought it could keep you apart and it has NO RIGHT TO DO SO then we can have the myth that all on benefits are breeding mothers who don't give a !!!! about their children.
All the best I probably won't get thanked for my posts but above is reason I am on Urban 75, Benefits and Work, will get Welfare Rights Advisor help and lurk on here.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

i have 3 teeneage children plus 2 cats. they all need lunches everyday. my eldest needs money to go to college on the bus, i do not get help for that. i also have to clothe and give them pocket money. it all adds up believe me. i do not live beyond my means and i save every penny when i can.
im simply stating that the benfit system is severly flawed. its sad to think i will be better off not living with my partner. we both work for family run businesses and we both work bloody hard!
also i won tbe gainin g27k, my partner earns that money he won tbe giving it straight to me will he.
oh well i hoped for help and all i got was .........well.........
I don't think you've been slammed. To be frank, benefits are for those who need them, when your partner moves in your joint earnings simply mean that those benefits can be reduced. If they weren't then I'd agree that the system is flawed. As others have said, in a relationship the money usually gets pooled. It's someone else's fault.0 -
Just ignore these rude, ignorant and frankly thick trolls. Her partner already exists, he and his £27k are not just materializing out of thin air so she is not £13k better off because as a couple their combined income goes down massively. I agree tax credits are not a great system but don't shoot someone down for trying to be a good mother and work and contribute to society, some of us feel that it is important for our children to have our time and as mothers don't want to work full time out of the home and that is our right.
And before I get slated too. My partner works full time I work part time and we claim no state benefits0 -
@sparkeybabe *ignores*
I have been here long enough to recognise the old MSE way of using thread to start mini arguments about benefits rather than plain old advice and non judgmental counsel.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.
