Hotel problems

First of all, I came on a new site and was given attitude almost straight away so I will give it straight back.
Secondly, my party booked at that hotel a year early as it had the facilities they wanted. By the time they had finished messing us about we only had an hour before we had to check in at the new hotel so couldn't use the facilities we had all wanted. From ordering taxis to getting the group back together again took an hour for some reason ( did that twice). The hotel we had been moved to had no facilities that we wanted. One of my party has MS and can not walk far and this hotel had lots of stairs and no lift even though there were 3 floors. The first hotel told us there would be a disco/entertainment on that date and there wasn't. There was a murder mystery on but wasn't told you had to book in advance. No entertainment at new hotel unless you was invited to one of the 2 weddings they had going on0 -
So what do you want from them?0

I don't know we don't do this on a regular basis. I don't know what to expect.0

Firstly, you were asked, quite reasonably IMO, what did you want from the original hotel. It was a reasonable question and no "attitude" was used, so there was absolutely no reason for your incredibly rude response.First of all, I came on a new site and was given attitude almost straight away so I will give it straight back.

You state they your party were given free taxi's, drinks and a meal.
Did you make it clear that one of your party would need disabled access?
Unfortunately, sometimes mistakes are made and it has obviously happened in this case. From what you have said, it sounds as though someone was doing their best to make amends, which leads me to the question that you have do far refused to answer......
What do you want?
You listed your issues.
Told us what the hotel did to try to make amends.
You told us of more issues.
Do you want a Refund? Compensation? An Apology? A Voucher? A Public Execution?
Stop moaning and being rude, say what you want the outcome to be and people will advise accordingly.LBM:FEB 2008

off with the heads of the hotel staff I say
how completely unacceptable that THEY arranged alternative accommodation, that THEY arranged and paid for transport, that THEY paid for a meal for 14 people
it's just not acceptable

what more do you want? Sounds like they paid for the cab(at least 3 cabs) to the other hotel, gave all 14 of you a free drink and let all 14 of you have a free meal. That sounds reasonable really?
I would imagine that some form of compensation above a a free drink and meal is what the OP is seeking. I would have thought that was a bit obvious. The OP is perfectly entitled to seek recompense from the hotel. A drink and meal is derisory, in my opinion.
And I suggest you read the forum rules, before you reply to new members' posts. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

So what would you suggest the hotel offer?0 -

A full refund.
But they haven't paid anything to the hotel as they didn't stay thereThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
