mobiles.co.uk t-mobile are slowly destroying me. Can anyone help?

  • I think it is the fault of mobiles.co.uk and you really need to direct your efforts at them. I've seen this happen before. They have agreed to set up your account and they have obviously put the wrong network in when doing a credit check. If you're right in that it is part of Carphone Warehouse then THEIR systems will have declined you a credit check on the t-mob application rather than T-Mob themselves, which is why T-Mob have said that you have passed a credit check with them. I'm sure there is something within CPW systems that will not allow you to pass 2 credit checks with them in quick succession.

I would maybe speak to T-Mob again and ask if they have credit checked you, can you set up an account direct with them. They should have a credit referrals team that would be able manually allow it seeing that they can see you already passed a credit check with them. If they give you the 'ok', and you're still within your time to cancel the mobiles.co.uk order and send it back, then I would do that. Also, if you have proof of the order you thought you were getting and they haven't supplied that, then I believe (although may be wrong), that you should still be able to cancel outside of the normal timescales.

One or two search by tmobile and o2 is not going to stop you getting mortgage and other credit. The bank is more interested in your income vs all other credit you have. This show them if you are able to pay or not

Goodman, is it not true that a straw can break a camels back?

I think you are wrong to say '1 or 2 searches is not....', may not, are unlikely etc yes but not 'is not'.
