Two of my cats cats are tabbies. Neither can eat too many dried biscuits (any make) without being sick. My Mum's tabby is the same. All non-tabbies are fine!

The less wet food they've had, the less sick he has been.... and girl tabby is fine! Just don't know what to try for the best really!

Had a horrid morning with the boy at the vets. He has been holding his paw up since yesterday morning and it got worse last night/this morning. He absolutely squealed his head off when the vet felt it, so x-ray for the little baby today - no break, phew - but they think he has an infection. That would tie in with how quiet he has been over the past few days. Got a little dropper to put liquid antibiotics in him and keeping him quiet for a few days. Really hope it gets better.
  • They are very small as well - he is 0.46kg and she is 0.6kg. Should I try kitten milk?
  • Glad to hear your boy's paw isn't broken. Hope the antibiotics work and he soon starts to pick up. Did the vet recommend what to feed him?
  • He seemed happy to continue on the RC. I got some PAH kitten milk today and gave him a tiny bit and he loved it, if he keeps it down overnight I will give him more tomorrow. Going to separate them overnight to keep him quiet.. he's been sleeping most of the day and I just feel so sad :(

The rest will help him get better. You're doing the best thing you can for him. :)

    Thank you :)

He has really rallied today, a lot more playful and bright and not howling in pain anymore... such a relief :)

That's him closest to the screen!

Oh and he wasn't sick last night for the first time - score! He loves the kitten milk and is fine on RC dry. I've bought the mousse specially for under 16 weeks so will start introducing that slowly as soon as it arrives from Zooplus.

    Yay :)

Just stumbled across this thread and wanted to say how gorgeous they are - remind me of our tabby who is now 7 (although we didn't have her from so young) - word of warning, she still likes to sit on my laptop keyboard like that - not so cute when they are several kg heavier :rotfl:

Hope your wee boy perks up now he's on antibiotics, cats usually respond quite quickly to them in my experience. Funny that one of the other posters should mention tabbies being sick, ours is a pain in the bum for wolfing food and then it coming straight back up again, but our b&w boy was only ever sick when accompanied with a hair ball - gross i know, but unfortunately it's part and parcel of having cats.

Sounds like their tums are settling on the RC - lucky things, mine gets whiskas and felix, and raw beef / chicken when I'm cooking. :)

    Thanks :)

My gosh, the £50 odd order from Zooplus which contained one (40L) bag of litter and RC food.. it struck me that I could be doing this so much cheaper! However if their poo smells less on good food and it makes their coats/eyes/ears healthy then it's worth the money... I saw Gocat in Iceland for £1.50 odd and I'm paying sooo much more for RC!

Such good news. :j Sounds as though he is on the mend.
