Why doesn't your BF just ask the groom (his boss) what it's all about ?

Maybe the bride is planning on doing a similar thing to the one mentioned who asked people not to wear black :rotfl::rotfl:

One wedding I was invited to had an A4 sheet inside with info on parking, hotels etc, and also included stuff along these lines:

'please take any children that start crying during the service outside, as we would all prefer to hear the service'

Sensible really, but going a bit far IMO!!

One of the loveliest services I ever attended started with the vicar announcing along the lines of "There are many of you here with small children. If, during the service, they start tocry or make noise then please dont leave or try to stop them. They are all God's children too, and their voices should be heard just as well as anyone elses."

It was lovely, and set the tone for the rest of the wessing as relaxed, caring and fun. I fear that this young lady's mental demands will do the same for hers, but not in a good way!
  • sounds a bit strange tbh

Love this thread- making my miserable cold go away!

And given me some good ideas. For my wedding...

    no beards
no gingers (that rules out most of my family)
    no children
    no parents
    no teenagers
    no false eyelashes
    no false nails

(H2B wants a big wedding, I want the two of us to run off alone)

This thread has really made me laugh today. Am tempted to suggest we all club together and get a ZZ Top tribute act to perform at the wedding!
