Thank you for your kind thoughts. You are being nosey! Only kidding! My husband was 35 when he passed which will be 5 months ago tomorrow. I am 36. Both our children were under three at the time.
I see my practice nurse every two weeks and she is amazing, I also have counselling, am down to sort of monthly now, and I do talk about him with children, my mum, his parents, and now and then my friends. So lots of emotional support. His parents are fab, they dote on the children and will drop anything to help me out. We talk about how we feel, and seem to be sharing our grief rather than guarding it, he was an only child. Anyway, they often collect the children, they have looked after them with chicken pox so I could go to work, and generally do try to make life as easy as possible.
Which is why we are all going on holiday together, this Saturday!
So you see, I'm in good hands!

im not sure of your exact ages or circumstances but i can only imagine how strong you have to be coping with everything life throws your way as well as running a home rasing and supporting children as well as coping with your own grief.
do you recieve any help im not being nosy and you dont have to answer me at all i think im rambling/thinking out loud and hope i dont upset anyone with this post but im just wanting to check you are getting help with emotional as well as physical day to day things if its available to you
sending hugs to everyone who needs one
I would not have mentioned our circumstances if I didn't want people to know so don't apologise for being nosey
My story is on Stormbay's thread, we have 2 children A & W (hence my user name!) who were 6 and 3 at the time. Learning to ask for and accepting help has been one of the most difficult day to day aspects for me.I have seen the thread, thank you! I think it's a little quiet at the mo but makes for encouraging reading. I am determined to make a life for me and the kiddies, you never know how long you've got x

You are so right about none of us knowing how long we have got. I think you are doing fantastically in such a short space of time. The first year is the hardest IMHO.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang

My husband has noticed and the boys are less rushed in the mornings as I am so organised.

Looking forward to tomorrows list. Thanks to everyone who puts time in to make this possible .

Evening all, am sitting here waiting for DH to come home from work and have Bear snuggled up with me. He was whinging away on the armchair as per normal when his daddy doesn't come home ontime so I gave in and let him curl up with me
*for those that don't know Bear is one of my dogs - Scruffybear*
Afraid I haven't done anything today apart from washing up and clearing out the odd looking veg from the fridge, and sorting out the boxes in the porch. Apart from that I have been rather weird feeling.. Nothing that I can't handle, think it's my body telling me I have done too much. lol
Had a lovely time yesterday with my friends daughter, and then the rest of the children at school time. Narrowly missed getting a parking ticket from a very nice meter man, he saw I had a brood of children hurtling towards the car and waved me away
What a nice man
Think I will have to revise where I park when I pick the children up in future, we seem to have a load of parking people prowling around now.
Treated ourselves to Mc Donalds before picking the rest of the brood up, then we went back to my friends house and met up with her sister who had my friends foster babies. Then we took on the feeding of the five thousand, including my friends husband and the sisters children too. Actually we had a lovely time - baked pototates, sausages and baked beans. Then my friend came home from her appointments and then all hell broke loose as the kids all wanted attention..lol I was glad to go home and have a small glass of wine
Probably why I didn't want to get up and do anything this morning, I was rebelling..lol
Have a toad in the hole cooking in the oven just waiting for the final few minutes of cooking time.
Bella (dog visitor) is being a right diva, not wanting her food from me although she will take treats. I am being firm with her as I know she rules the roost in her own home, but she is out of luck here - I am "pack leader" here and she will understand that.. I don't think she likes the word NO..lol I will stop her from growling and snarling at me if it kills me...lol At the moment I am leaving her to do her own thing which is sleep in her bed and go out for wee's. I'm not worried about her though as I can handle stroppy dogs, I've had a JR before and know what they can be like.

Bonnie have you not had a new red log book come through from the DVLA? I received a red one last week, apparently they are sending out all new log books to everyone in red as they have had a load of blue ones stolen. Did me a favour as I lost my log book somewhere and was thinking about getting a new one but it was too expensive, now this saved me some money..lol
LL, you are an inspiration to everyone honey, and I love reading your posts, even if you only post one or two words/lines. You know you can just put that don't you, you have special compensation to write nothing about flying..
