I second the Aldi petit pois, changed to them from Tescos' own ones about a year ago and they're lovely0 -
I've just discovered Lidl frozen stuff,I've bought their fish fingers and breaded haddock for some time but recently tried their chips, hash browns wedges etc which are fab.So being fussy about peas-we grow loads and freeze them but have to resort to shop bought when they run out,I tried Lidl and they're very good0

i am not fussy on brand.
However most of the peas i cook.
I purree them up and then add butter, cream, pepper and may be some garlic or chilli depending on what i have with them.
Gives a nice creamy sauce with lots of flavour so brand differences are less noticeable.0 -

Can you taste the peas at all?0 -

M&S Petit Pois. Don't remember the price off the top of my head, but certain it's less than BE. Even my DH who normally hates peas (will tolerate them with sausage and mash) admitted they are lovely.0

same as many foods eg cajun chicken etc. you adding flavour to it.
it just enhance the eat. give it ago!
Same as many meals today - smother the taste of the main ingredient so it's completely lost. A style of cooking that evolved in countries where the raw materials were too poor to be savoured.
