kyle - I found the only way to get my youngest DS to have his hair cut was if I did it so he had to have the clippers and a crewe cut for years till he braved the barbers!:D also well done on the weight loss!:T

feel a bit more 'human' now I've had my tea!:D

Have a good evening all, see you tomorrow! xx

    Hello all,

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days. Just thought I would let you all know that OH and I had a good talk on Sunday and he let me move back in, although we do have some things to sort out.

Since then have made a start on the budget - after getting my first paycheck from my new job :j I'll feel so much happier when we know what we can/can't afford.
Also - last month I panicked becase I noticed the council had taken a third of our council tax in one go, instead of 6 monthly payments from last year. I actually looked at my bank statements yesterday and realised that they've done that for the past 3 months :o, so our council tax for the year is paid :T - I didn't even miss the money.

Hm, what else. Made broccolli and cheddar soup - most delicious, and have made a start on my next meal plan - it took me ages to decide what to put on the last one, so thought I'ld start early this time!

Plans for the weekend...probably cleaning, possibly seeing a film/going for a walk depending on the weather, and writing up another cookbook/Ebay listings.

    Have a good evening

Our DS never liked the gown at the hairdressers either, so I used to put him in old clothes, just take his top clothes off and he sat there in just his trousers. I then just showered and changed him when he got home!

    Hi All,
A late post from me today. All is quiet here as DD2 has gone on a sleepover. DD1 has decided she likes the peace and quiet.
Been busy with food shopping and yet more spring cleaning today. OH has been (gradually) replacing the bathroom suite over the last couple of weeks and today was toilet day! Luckily I wasnt caught short whilst we were without, and now everything is working again! (Had intended to make sure I was at work on the day he swapped the toilet over, but never mind!) He has saved a bundle by doing it himself and it looks great so far, totally professional job. (Bought him a doughnut to show my appreciation, it is after all, the thought that counts!)
DD1's secondary school admission letter arrived just as she left for school, so when she returned home the phone rang constantly and MSN was fired up so she and all her friends could discuss where they are all going. She got our second choice, which she is thrilled with as its her first choice. We knew we were unlikely to get the first choice as we live about a road away from the edge of the catchment area and its hugely popular, lots of people we know have moved to get their daughters places there, and you can probably add a good premium on the house prices.
DD didnt want to go there because its a girls school. Her choice is a mixed school, which is doing really well at the moment, and seems to offer the same as the girls school. Its strange though because all of her friends are going to our third choice school, (another girls school) but she is not bothered by this in the slightest, and is very excited about the new school. I just hope we dont get offered a late place at the first choice school now because I know she wont want to accept it!
Im off now to put my feet up with a cuppa and my cross stitching ready for Ugly Betty later.

    Good evening everyone,

So glad so many of the children have got the schools they want - bargain babe, i knew there was someone else waiting, so i hope you find out tomorrow!

PP - i think donny gals addition to your letter is excellent, i hope you get the refund, and find a better cleaner soon.

kyle - when my son was tiny, the hairdresser we took him too had a special chair for children with a steering wheel to distract them whilst having their hair cut - not sure if you could find one with something like that, or maybe take something of your own to keep him busy?

Blairweech - glad things are getting better, had been thinking of you, so i hope things will work out now you are talking.

Apologies if im missing anyone, im so tierd at the moment so feeling a bit fuzzy, so ((HUGS)) to all who need or want one.

Well, i am so glad its Friday - ive had a busy week, although i feel that ive accomplished nothing!!! The fact im not sleeping well at the moment hasnt helped - but as DSs football has been cancelled tomorrow (not our coach, the opposition, apparently they think our boys are too good, and dont want their boys getting disheartened, well, that doesnt help us!!!) im going to try some sleeping tablets, last time i took 2 i still woke up after 2 hours, so hopefully that wont happen tonight. If it does work, i can take my time in the morning, if not, i can lie in and at least rest.

My mum is coming down tomorrow, not sure if it will be for the day or if she will stay over. She will be looking after DD as im taking Ds to see Plymouth play Stoke, im just hoping she will do something with DD, normally she likes trawling the charity shops, which will be boring for DD. I am looking forward to seeing her tho, as i dont see her often.

Right, im going to have a quick browse and then off to bed - wish me luck, im hoping for sleep tonight!!!

    Have a lovely evening,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sorry I haven't been around much. I won't be around much in the future either as DH and I are splitting up and we are selling the house so we can have a clean break with all debts paid.

I have one week to find somewhere for me and the kids to live, I keep crying and don't know what to tell DD.

Sorry I haven't read the rest of the thread.
