Your husband's advice to discuss these allegations directly with your ex was very, very poor indeed. It's a pity that you acted on it.

I will try and talk to him about it all but not until tomorrow can't face it or him today - am just keeping out of the way - there probably is more to it than he is letting on but I doubt I will ever know what that is as he will just brush it away.

I just can't understand his anger - whilst it is my ex's (and family) problem, by default it includes me because of our child and for him to tell me to stop interferring (?) and let them sort it out is just plain stupid - I need to know because of my child.

TBH, he also believes that my ex didn't do anything in the same way I did (obviously I know otherwise now but he doesn't as he's still not talking to me!)

Can't comment as I don't know - she told me that the police are involved and they have to do a risk assessement

For possession of child pornography the age of the child is 17 or under.
So, for example, if a 17 year old friend sent him a boob flash and he kept it on his phone, that would be an absolute offence.

ETA "The definition of a child was altered from 16 to 18 years by section 45(1) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, in force from 01 May 2004"

Wow. I missed that completely.

So what does that mean for 16 year olds that have intercourse with [say] a 24 year old?

Aah. I thought that's what you mean but didn't think that would be the case; that someone could have sex with a 16 year old and that would be fine, but not keep a pic of them as that would not be fine.

So, how does that fit in with the OP and the 17 yr old then? OP - is it pornography related or was it when the person was younger than 16?

So, you can have sexual intercourse with a 16 year old, see them naked in real life, but not look at a "boob flash" of them taken on a mobile phone.

I don't know the details of the allegation - other than it involves a 16/17 yo but it isn't to do with !!!!!! but I don't know the exact age either
