We got a gps geocaching thingy cheap from Amazon at Xmas. :D

There's one listed walk in our area. It's the same walk we do every day with the dog. :rotfl:

That's very unusual! We are lucky to be surrounded by caches and can barely keep up with the new ones published!!

What is it with the wet towels on the bed thing?? And clothes on the floor near, but not in, the washing basket. If you can get that close you can flaming get them in there :mad:

Any attempt at a discussion about money here seems to turn into me being accused of nagging or being tight. Well, one of us has to be tight as one of us got themselves into £15k debt and didn't think to mention it:mad:

Ah, I feel better for that! :D

Oh dear...hubby is very good at putting worn clothes in the basket. Actually I'm the one who leaves wet towels on the bed and clothes on the floor:rotfl:

We'll, took the sick animal to the vet this evening as she did a dying swan on me (and made an astounding recovery on the vet table). Vet's advice before we left the room was give her the antibiotic injections and keep her warm...

...you know what's coming now don't you?

Oh yes, hubby told the vet that *he* has set up three different heat sources for the animal to ensure she has a constant supply of heat round the clock, and while my mouth dropped open he took the vet's brownie points and pushed me out towards the counter so I couldn't protest at his lying bullsh*t.

While he was spouting that stuff about setting up the heat sources, you should have acidly added "And then you tortured her by tantalisingly turning them off!"

BTW tell him that HE's the heat source for the critter tonight :D

In his mind he thinks he's great, kind and considerate. You are having a down day, he thinks I will take kids out of her way and give her some space. I'm brilliant she will think I'm so considerate. :A

I will invite daughters friend as she is quite isolated and that way they can entertain themselves and I score brownie points with DD too. :T

Then he remembers oh no can't afford to take a friend I will show my wife that I listen and care and I will suggest friend brings some money.:p

Your reaction dumfounds him and he now thinks Oh Lordy I will have to make her laugh so that the b0llicking I get when I get home won't be so bad.:(

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You probably got it in one.

I haven't given him a b0llicking though. He's trying really hard tonight to cheer me up and I can't be mad at him when he's like this. He made dinner when he came home and is now ironing daughter's clothes as she's going for a sleepover tomorrow.

He does a lot of good things too. I just wish his 'other' things didn't cost us money. :D < See....mellow. :rotfl:

In fact can I have a further whinge. 'What are you doing tomorrow?' asked DH tonight. We have a 9yo that has swimming lessons on a Sat morn, a 12yo that I can leave for a few hours but not from dawn till dusk and DH is out all day tomorrow, so I answered
'I'm having a facial and a pedicure at a beauty salon the other side of town, meeting for lunch at a hotel with an old schoolfriend and meeting another after she finishes work for a cream tea'

ohhhh he says (lightening dawning). What are you doing with the kids?

Don't get me started on the washing basket!!! My OH doesn't dump his clothes on the floor, oh no, he dumps them on top of the washing basket! It's obviously too difficult for a grown man to lift the lid and put dirty clothes inside the basket so he just puts them on top of the lid!

And why oh why is it only women who can manage the extremely difficult task of removing an empty cardboard tube and putting a fresh toilet roll on a holder?

  • This thread is hilarious!! Anguk, my OH is exactly the same! I had to run him through the process of lifting the lid off the basket placing the clothes inside and putting the lid back on, the other day.

Slightly off the point, but my OH has a tendency to say things without thinking about how his comments might be received. The other day I mentioned that I was going to the doctors to change my pill. His response - "Why don't you ask for one that makes your boobs reeeeally big?!" This was said with hand gestures (I'm sure you can imagine)! I calmly told him that I would indeed do this, on the day that he went and asked for pills to make his penis bigger!!:rotfl:

Clothes on the bedroom floor, tantalisingly close to the hamper? I should cocoa!
When Mr W returns from his ten days working on site, I need to go down to his van then schlep the bag of clothes to house and washing machine. And I have to do it immediately, as they'll have been a couple of wet towels festering in there during the ten hour drive.

Needless to say, he returns to work with the same (freshly washed) set of bedding, towels and clothes every time. I make sure of that.
