Wonga payday loan for £50

Hi OP,
I think putting a little away each week for his 2nd birthday is a great idea. I know the guys on here might sound a bit mean but they really are trying to help. You're financial situation must be very bad if you consider getting money from a pay day loan lender to go out for a meal that you are paying over 1000% in interest for.
Is it worth heading over to the old style boards for some help with better money management. Kids don't get cheaper xThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Sorry but be glad - a payday loan company with sense!!! woohoo! :T
By not spoiling your child to excess now, you may help him avoid the loan sharks himself one day! (children really prefer their parents time that their there for them and being brought up proper to know right from wrong - the biggest gift you'll ever give) x0 -
sorry to hijack this thread,
but what exactly is the proceedure when applying for a wonga loan?
what questions do they ask?
the reason why i am asking is that i had 2 letters yesturday saying i hadnt paid my 2 loans:eek:, basically someone has used some of my details to get loans... I have been to the police, and contacted wonga etc... so hopefully the silly pratt that has done this doesnt realise they can be traced via the bank account the money was paid into...
Dont you have ot give national insurance or is it just name address d.o.b and a bank details?
Will delete my post later, so please dont use the 'quote' option...

You don't need a national insurance number but they would need your debit card and bank details.0 -
my 4 year old would not have a clue what we bought her for her first birthday. She has seen pics but apart from that does not really understand that she was once 1 year old!
Celebrate late. It is far easier0 -

but they didnt have my bank details, as no money have been put into my accounts or taken out, so they must have used their own accounts,Work to live= not live to work0 -
Wait the week and use the extra £14.81 your going to line Wongas pockets with to do something even more special. As others have said I know its your sons first birthday and you want to do something special for him but honestly.. he wont know the difference and like others have said once you get into the payday loan trap its hard to get back out. Everyone has good intentions to pay them back but who knows what will crop up in a weeks time?
Please please please don't feed companies like Wonga etc... If you needed the money to keep a roof over your head maybe just maybe in that situation if you had no other way of getting the money would it be... less silly but something like this could wait for a week.0
