Something to do with topping up by £10, £20, £30 - Anne says "What don't sainsburys like about round figures?"

Looks like Sainsburys are finally being rumbled. If you have your receipts then be ready to head to customer services tomorrow quoting the weights and measures act!

Well that was disappointing to say the least! Still made a point of showing Sainsburys up though!

Am I the only one that thought it was fairly obvious what would happen?
The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

Ahh. Not a new problem then. I heard about that years ago.

But it doesn't always happen. My last tank was from that petrol station shown - Sainsbury's Tewkesbury Road in Cheltenham and was exactly £50.00

I've never got why you can't input the amount of fuel you want and the second the pump gets to that it cuts off saving you EVER going over!? Am I the only one who would like to see that function... Yes have the ability to not set an amount too but I mean I always put the same amount in so for me It would be much easier.

My local Teco has this feature, each pump has set of buttons that allow a set amount (either cost or litres) to be set. Pump stops automatically when reached.

I thought Sainsbury's had a policy where if it went a penny over they ignored it - has happened when i've been paying twice and they always just ignore it anyway.
