My last wedding anniversary: OH was away at work as it was midweek. Didn't email or text all day. Just got the usual phone call in the evening. Went out with my mother for lunch, said I fancied a glass of champagne as I was celebrating at which she looked at me blankly.

    How's that for inspiring?

We spent the night at Port Lympne Animal Park.
OH loves giraffes and waking up in front of the watering hole was pretty surreal. Not particularly cheap but it was lovely.

This year, we just had a nice meal at home with a bottle of wine, and a movie to snuggle up and watch together.

Usually, we take a trip out (to the closest seaside to have chips - it's only 5-10 mins away on the train), but things have been a bit hectic, busy, stressful and expensive this year, so we opted to stay in instead.

We always celebrate the anniversary of the day we met because it's my husband's birthday! This year we had a lovely meal at a local Italian and Mexican restaurant. We also celebrate the anniversary of the day we got together. Our first wedding anniversary is in November this year and we're having a belated honeymoon!

It was out first wedding anniversary last year and we went on honeymoon to Portugal. On the day we went out for a lovely dinner in Lisbon.

For our other anniversary, we were also in Portugal, so went to the same restaurant for lunch.

This year will be spent at home minding the pennies!

Went back to hotel we spent out wedding night in. Its our second anniversary, didn't get to celebrate our wedding properly or our first anniversary as SD ruined the whole thing. This was the first time we didn't let her ruin things.

p.s. SD is an adult and ought to know better but loves to be centre of attention for the wrong reasons
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

Went out for a meal the night before via a Groupon voucher...and got severe food poisoning so my actual anniversary was spent up chucking. :-/

Got a takeaway pizza as I was pregnant and had such bad acid reflux that I couldn't even face a single sip of Champagne! And this year we will have a five month old baby, so probably another pizza...:-)
