We went to Lanzarote this year, but it was 30 years ... We'd both bought cards in advance, but left them at home, and didn't find them for several days after we got home.
We were planning to go on a submarine trip on the actual day: £££! But it was not running that week, annual maintenance. So we did that a week later, and on the day we just pottered, and then went to a spa. And I fell into the jacuzzi and bruised my ribs badly so movement was painful (still is, several weeks later!)Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Not much as my son who was 3 months at the time (now 8 months) was just about to have an op.

Ah come on, think! First kiss, first walk down the beach, first time time you beat him at Mario Kart, first time you lifted a whole bag of flour with one arm, first time you had se...Oh, wait. Yeah you're right.0 -
We have just celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary and did what we usually do on our wedding anniversary......naff all. I did get a birthday card as it was my birthday the day before and his best mate sent me a card this year as it was my 50th birthday. I think his mate making the effort must have shamed him into it cause he doesn't usually bother. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. We always (ok, only had 3 so far!) have a weekend away. Always on a deal, mind
. Last one was to a secluded posh 'shack' overlooking the sea, and the premise was that we might see whales migrating, but we evidently missed them!
I'm super excited about this next one though, as I have got a deal for 2 cessna flying lessons over Melbourne for half price and I've also got the flights to get there booked too, on the last day of the cheapo airline sale :money: Just got to get the accom booked, but will probably do lastmin.com secret hotel thingie. Have a to wait to do that though as it's still over 6 months off!
In two minds about the flying lesson itself - DH is a nervous flyer, but wanted to be a pilot when he was a kid. I'm sure he'll enjoy it though. It was a bargain so he has to! :rotfl::j0 -
Well last year was our first wedding anniversary, and we went back to the castle we got married in for a visit
We honeymooned in the area where we married, so after visiting the castle we went to a Italian place for lunch, the place we went to on honeymoon
Can see that being a regular way to spend our anniversaries :rotfl:Can't think of anything smart to put here...0
