    Hi supatramp
Is that a price plus line rental?
I'm £14.99 for internet and around £15 for anytime calls and line rental, so around £30 a month for unlimited internet and anytime calls.
With £13.60 and £11.50 line rental that would work out cheaper than I am at present.
    What is level three broadband?
    Thanks.

Earlier this year I paid my line rental a year in advance, the equivalent of £10 pm. My internet and anytime calls package is £13.60 pm, so a total of £23.60 pm.

BT's Level 3 internet is their top service, in theory unlimited but I think it's actually about 100GB.
    David.

At least you got an email saying it was going to increase, the first thing I noticed was the Direct Debit of £25 coming out of the bank instead of the usual £19.99

And what is more annoying, new customers can get the same deal I'm currently on for £15.31 a month, so goodbye AOL, broadband supplier for a good few years, hello Plusnet.

I wonder how long they will get me to wait to get a MAC as the telephone system isn't working at the moment.

They are allowed 5 working days to supply a MAC.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I've submitted for a MAC via the website, so lets see when the phone-call will arrive trying to get me to stay with them.

Unless they truly don't care about losing a loyal customer and just email me the code with a "sorry your thinking about leaving us, please call this 0845 number to discuses your options"

MAC code issued with nothing other than a template email saying what the process is after you leave. Not even a phone-call from them trying to beg us to stay.

I was a bit disappointed, but shows how they don't care about loyal customers.

Plusnet here I come, £50 cash back from then plus £36 from Quico, and for a cheaper deal all-together.

Have now left AOL. Was with them since 2002. Was a whole day on the phone to cancel and the experience was not a pleasant one, the representative said there would be debt collectors at my door if I cancelled the direct debit before they have taken out their final amount. She told me it could be any amount they want, I told her she better not take out more than £15, the agreed direct debit amount, without letting me know. we shall see what's taken out on the 9th, have extra money in just incase. I still have 40 days or so left of the contract.
With EE now and the difference in service is amazing, the speeds are better and we can actually watch videos on line now!
    Very happy :) with EE
Will never go back to AOL again!

    I hope i don't suffer the same experience .
Been with AOL since 1996 (although i now pay AOL-TALKTALK)
presently pay £10.31 per month unlimited usage.....but the only downfall is the speed(4mb) whereas BT infinity now available in my area is 38mb..but i can watch all the sport i want via laptop connected to tv..so i save having to pay sky a bean.

wow, now there's a name i haven't heard or used in years. I too started out my internet days 'dial up' i believe in 1998 for around £100 a month, as it was pay as you go; thank god those days are gone.

But i would urge people to leave aol, they are a sinking ship they had the good days now other companies are more competitive than they are.

I am with orange and pay £5 a month unlimited for life. I did have a 2nd line with free calls but they are getting rid of that this month, so will just have the internet for same price.

I am surprised to hear of the customer service they deliver but maybe because customers are going elsewhere and losing sales, they have become disgruntled employees.

    This is utter nonsense!

If you cancelled the direct debit they would have to bill you for the outstanding amount, only in the event of the final bill not being settled can they send it to a debt collector.
