Do you always go with the cheapest insurance quote?

            I'm guessing that's not a good thing then. :eek:0

It depends on the excess, IMO there's no point in saving £50 if the excess is £750 compared to £150.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

The excesses are all around the same figure so that's OK. I'm going to have another look at the comparison sites and see who the other companies were.0

It's all about choosing the cheapest of a bad bunch.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

No but I also check to make sure it is competitive.
Ensure that you are not paying for stuff you don't need/want, that you are comparing like for like and why you want to pay the extra.
People are quick to complain but slow to praise on feedback sites. A few people wait for longer than 4 hours in A&E but thousands more don't and those that really need it certainly don't."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

I used Hastings for my bike before, no issues but again, I didn't need to claim and that's where you know if you backed the right horse.
One thing I would say is that Hastings regualrly do cashback through sites like topcashback so do not buy through the comparison site.
clear your cookies and do it through topcashback. I got another £50 back and that really made the decision easy.
5t.What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
Thanks for the tip about the cookies.0

Maybe, but have you had to deal with them after an accident?:)
My eldest daughter had an horrendous time with them after a no fault accident for which the other insurer paid up for her car repair. Just one example of their incompetence, her n.c.d. was altered to indicate a claim when there wasn't from them.
The cheapest isn't always the best option.0 -
Hmm current one is Carole Nash. They wouldn't price match it last year but I guess I could try. Trouble with CN is they bundle in a lot of stuff I don't need but won't take out.
That, to me, says walk away.
You want to buy bike insurance off them (a legal requirement without which you can't ride), insisting that you also buy other products on the back of that isn't acceptable in any way.
It's like Tesco telling you that you can only buy food (something you need) from them if you buy the wine to go with it, even if you're teetotal!0
