bossymoo - thinking of you. Rant away any time you like (although it's not ranting IYSWIM), everyoneon here is so kind and supportive - no one will mind! What a difficult task for you. I went to a patchwork show once and a lady had made 2 quilts, ond from her husband's ties, and another from his shirts - they were lovely. I understand about seeing his clothes being worn again, my mum gave dad's stuff to a relative who lived miles away for that reason.

Today's list looks good, I did all the windows, nets and windowsills last week (I hate the job so much I find it easier to do it all in one go!) so not too much to do this evening - no doubt I will find something else that needs doing!

Off to get ready for work then - another busy day! Hope everyone has a good day.

    Morning

Greenbee~ if you would like a day out at Bletchley Park, let me know when you are thinking off, and I'll be happy to join you, providing I am not at work. My father's cousin is coming up with his '53 of his mates' (they must all be in their late 70's / 80's, masonic) in May, I am not really sure it is my 'thing' being out with a load of old guys, let alone yours, as I have comitted to it, but if you wish to join them, I can make arrangements!! :D or we can go on our own, / see if anyone else in the area would like to join us.

Bossy a hug for you and your family, shame Anwmum is not around, she might have some ideas for you, as she also lost her husband a couple of years ago. How about packing the clothes for now in to storage boxes / bags, and putting them in the loft as a sort of half way move, then making the bears in a few months time?

  • Morning all!!

The washer dryer doctor has just been and, after a delicate operation to remove and replace the door lock, I'm pleased to report that it is fully recovered and the first load (of many....) is in :j I am very happy. I even found myself smiling fondly at it as it whooshed into action :o The sun has now gone in and dark clouds gathering (it was clear and sunny earlier ) so my super-duper heated airer will be called into action later I think.

(((hugs))) Bossymoo don't know what to say other than my friend, who lost her dad when she was a teen, was complaining she has almost nothing of his - so saving something for the children must be a good idea, IYSWIM. They can decide, later, if they want it or not.
