morning all
(((hugs))) Bossymoo don't know what to say other than my friend, who lost her dad when she was a teen, was complaining she has almost nothing of his - so saving something for the children must be a good idea, IYSWIM. They can decide, later, if they want it or not.SPC~12 ot 124

Wednesday is Bathroom Day in the Wolf's Lair, so once I've had a spot of lunch, I have the joys of scrubbing the loo._pale_
Taking it very steady today; my damned shoulder's really bad today - I had to wake Mr LW at 03:00 to pour me some morphine liquid; and had some more at 06:00.:(
Bossymoo what can I say, sweetie? The Universe doesn't do "fair".:( Just a random thought - the vet who writes in the Saturday paper recently offered the thought that dogs have a shorter lifespan than humans because they're born already knowing how to love unconditionally, whereas humans have to learn; so maybe Pigpen's theory of old barstools taking an age to earn their angel wings has truth.
Anyways, there's support, coping vibes and virtual (((HUGS))) here for you whenever you need them.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi Everyone
I've only just registered on here but i've been lurking at MSE for months.. probably longer! I've been working on reducting my debt for 4 years now and this weekend I decided the house needs tackling.
I struggle due to lack of help from dh, but he does work very long hoursAnyhow, we tackled some of the clutter over the easter weekend and the last two days i've been following the advice in this thread and i'm really getting somewhere! I'm terrible for doing the 'level 3' jobs and not doing the basics. I'll happily wash the windows but leave the floors cluttered. So I'm following the rules and two days has got me looking loads better already. Its lunchtime and i'm just enjoying a cuppa and a sandwich and then back to the cleaning. I think it will take me all week to sort it all out!
Anyway nice to meet you all0 -
Welcome to the thread highflyer!
Don't expect to get it all done at once - your house didn't get like that in a day now, did it?

Welcome Highflyer; good to see someone else joining in the fun.... and you'll find this thread does make housework ....well, more fun than it is normally.:o *Wanders off in search of the loo brush*:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
The dancemobile has been out on an adventure catch up with frogs.
Frog 1 Took back old out of date medicines to chemist
Frog 2 Collected OH & DS2 medicines
Frog 3 Collected DS2 medicine that can only be got from the hospital. There was no where near to the pharmacy to park so ended up at the outermost carpark and had to drag both boys (moaning etc) on a long walk. Cost £3
Frog 4 Midweek catchup on fresh stuff & milk. Cost £41 used £5 off voucher :money:. Drinks & snack in Cafe £10
Got caught in a freak hail storm on way back but it was sunshining when we arrived home to find Kitty Cat very pleased to see us.
Ds1 has now gone to his friends.
Ds2 is hopefully going to be entertained with his new toy
I'm going to have a cuppa if anyone wants to join me then find my list to see how it goes.0 -
the cupboards have glass doors, and I'll be able to see how empty it is
Bossymoo - sending more (((hugs))) Do you have any favourite treasures, ornaments etc that you could display to make a positive feature of the glass doors? Or perhaps treat them as picture frames and put some posters in behind the glass? I find museum shops a good source - could be an excuse for a wee trip out as a family with some gentle retail therapy.mrs-moneypenny wrote: »so far done

That's being creative and expressing yourself - a good thing in my book :A
highflyingsolo - welcome. I know what you mean about doing level 3s and ignoring the basics. I do a lot of that too. But then again, at least it means some progress is getting made.:)
Right, big drumroll ... I have finally made my frog list. It has fifteen things on it. I'm sure I could think of more but I reached the bottom of the page in my notebook:o
Flying so far - DW on. Frog list made. Items to iron selected for HHI. Electricity cut dealt with - although bit worried that I don't know what triggered the trip switch. Hope it doesn't go again:eek:
For the rest of the day I'm following the list below. Items deleted are not relevant for now, or on my list of banned activities as I'm still on post-surgery recovery. (Still!!! Will it ever end?)
