What happened to natural girls?

Has anybody noticed that girls/ladies now seem so fake?

Where I live, many, many girls are covered in fake tan, wear several layers of make up, hair all done up, dressed up......

I wear very little make up and don't see the point in wearing several layers of make up and doing hair just to go to work.

What do men think about this? ie. I have a friend who matches above description, and yes looks quite pretty, but she looks like a different person when the war paint comes off, do guys consider this.......?! Seems like normal girls/ladies miss out due to these over dress/made up people!

I think girls should do as they please. I used to pile it on years ago, as felt more confident when doing so. I cringe at some of those pictures, bright red lips, eyes overdone, big hair. I've never been able to wear foundation comfortably, as always looked like I was wearing a mask.

I wear very little make-up nowadays, although a little most days, and feel a lot more at ease with how I am. I think as you get older you grow into some of those features you dislike, and just don't worry so much. :D

Maybe miss out is the wrong phrase.

But say for example, you're in a bar.... Most men seem to automaticallynotice the most 'attractive' girls ( the ones covered in make up to make themselves look pretty) So normal girls who choose not to wear lots of make up and dress up are over looked. Maybe just my observations.

Also depends by what you mean with 'covered in make up'.

A lot of guys don't like too much make up.A lot of people picking up in bars just do so for the night. Some don't.

However, whatever way it goes, taking pride in your appearance makes a difference and says something about you.

People have a different opinion of what 'dressing up' is too,so maybe you could tell us what you mean by faces full of make up and dressing up?I can never tell with some people and it's something I notice women talk about a lot

I suppose the fashion at the moment is for a more 'made-up' look (straightened hair, thick eyeliner, lots of foundation, faux rock-chick haircut and clothes), as opposed to someone wanting their make-up to look more natural.

I don't think it's a very flattering look, but that's just my opinion. Some girls can wear it well.

Re. comparing the way girls look without make-up and with, do you mean will he get a nasty surprise when he gets to see her without all the mascara and make up? :rotfl:

I'm guessing that men are like women, i.e. they don't all think the same.
