What happened to natural girls?

When I was at school, I used to spend around an hour doing my hair and make up. To 'impress' people I guess, I've never been very confident so that wpuld just boost it a bit. I always used to spend ages getting ready before going out to town etc as when you're still at school and have no money, that is your social life!
A couple of years ago, I started work at 4am. I used to get up very early to do my make up. Then I decided there was no point and as I needed the sleep, I'd just wear a bit of mascara. Then I just stopped wearing it completely as when my hair is done nicely, my face looks better.
Now, I take about 5mins to do my make up and about the same to do my hair. I wear minimal make up but my hair is always straightened. I rarely wear make up at the weekend unless we have plans.

My fiance always notices the girls with orange foundation and fake eyelashes etc in a very negative way. He rants for ages about how they look desperate and cheap. Thats his opinion but the same as many other men I expect. Although there are of course the other men that are very much attracted to those girls.
