Thanks all for taking the time to reply. It feels wrong but i'll ignore it and see what happens.
Cheers.
If it makes you feel better, pay them. I may not agree, but I would respect your decision.
It does seem counter-intuitive to fight something by doing nothing. However, these companies work on the basis that only 70% of victims fall for the confidence trick that these are official fines and pay.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

I think Gooner has no intention of paying it- what he means (I think) is that he does not think a problem goes away if you ignore it.
That is usually so; but this is an exception!0 -
Well just a little update i spoke to a REAL. Traffic warden today in a town near where i live n work i usually have a bit of banter with them has my job requires me to make frequent stops around the town center in order to do my job they understand the nature of my job and im always visable on the street and sometimes let me get away with murder has im a little cheeky and have double parked at side of disabled spaces and zig zag crossings also double yellows but my job only requeres me to be parked at road side for a few minutes so asked this woman if i could pick her brain explained the situation of my issued fine in cornwall and she said DONT PAY IT AND IGNOR ALL LETTERS and that they have no right only councal and police can offically produce you with a fine that has a proper appeal system!!! I told her about the traffic warden who looked like herold shipman with plain clothes and plain van the p.o box address on fine and there attitude when i called them even mentioned the sumthing white solicoters and she knew every trick in the book and said there is about 99.9% it wouldnt get taken to court and chances are you would will coz you have evidance of your pay n display ticket she also said file copys of anything they send just incase anything does come of it!!!0

Unfortunately, some councils do seem to adopting the PPC tactic of "routinely" rejecting appeals. But, at least there are still the independent adjudicators. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

An NPO can be used in civil matters and it has been used by a PPC Excel V Alphabet, they also tried one last year at Melton Mowbrey against an individual which was denied.
An NPO is for the disclosure of documents or data, not the contents of your mind!
Of course we all know they will never apply for one and its all bluff and bluster! Plus they have to pay for an NPO themselves win or lose!0 -
Their demands denied? Yet another shocking decision by a Court? How dare it find against such honest and upstanding people? That judge needs to have a few parking charges slapped on his car to show him the light.0

Noted, and my NPO paragraph has been duly amended.
It was (allegedly) granted by "Leeds District Registry of the High Court" in late 2010.
According to HO87, Excel applied for a second one against an individual in 2011, but didn't show up at court so it was refused.
Out of interest, how much does it cost to apply for one?The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

I really need some advice if anyone can help me.
My daughter got clamped in the university carpark.. She's been a student there for the past year and was told by one of the lecturers when she started to park in this particular carpark and there's no need to pay as its owned by the Uni that she attends.
Yesterday when she got to her car to come home, she'd been clamped..
The assistant came to her and told her that the council has taken over the carpark last week... Obviously she just broke down and cried.. She had to pay £90 cash to release the clamps and if she paid via card it would be £95... Who in the right mind carries £90 cash in their pockets today???!!!!!!!
Anyway, my husband phoned the council today and was told that they dont run that particular carpark!!!
Can anyone advise me, is it worth writing to the firm? or threaten courts??
Any advice is welcome....
Thank you all xx0 -
Can you start a separate thread for this as it will get lost in the discussion on the merits or otherwise of ignoring and not paying private parking tickets. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

According to HO87, there's no evidence of Excel applying for or being granted an NPO against Alphabet, a car rental firm, for details of the user of one of their cars.
The unsuccessful attempt to get one against an individual was by VCS (who are not unrelated to Excel, of course). According to them, they got the notification of the court hearing too late, and didn't attend. They got the decision set aside and a second hearing. They attended this one, and the application was rejected. Their litigation manager left the firm days afterwards. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.
