Hey guys and gals... in responce to all ur posts and advice we are looking at ALL the options that you's have all suggested i.e move job .. Move home ... Get custody in some cases posted on here ..everything has been taking on board ... Its only been a week since i first posted the thread looking for opinions/advice...A busy week where wev both been working at our jobs.. BUT we will look into every option thrown at us along the way... I wish i could jus magically sort it all out in a week .. But this is the real world we live in and things take there own time to resolve...
But thanks for all your posts they have given us numerous ideas of what to look at .. To hopefully see what will be the best soloution for the child.0 -

I can't understand why folk are picking on so called inconsistencies! Does it matter who left who, when and why? The fact is, they are where they are now. Personally I think the little lad would be better off living with his dad, and having visits and holidays with his mam. From the sounds of things (and we can only go by what we read) neither the mother or grandparents are coping very well, it's probably doubtful if the mother will get back to "normal", and the grandparents are getting older! If I was in the op's position, I'd go for full custody.
The gf is no fitter than the mum she can barely walk either so how is she to care any better than the mother and grandparents.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

"Also to clarify my partner relations with his ex were over along time before the stroke.. ex partner had moved on with other relations, when exs health deterioated."Does this mean he had lots of affairs but stayed living with his family-or had left the family home ?
Or does it mean:
My partner's relationship with his ex had ended a long time before she had a stroke. His ex-partner had moved on to another relationship/other relationships before her health deteriorated?0 -
Yes sorry my bad way of writing ... It means my partners ex had moved on to other relationships before her health deterioated0
