I didn't mention it earlier because we didn't know whether he would be able to do it - they want him tomorrow! :eek: Luckily he was able to swap his shift at the care home so he can! Woohoo!!:T

Im really pleased for you!

With the tax stuff - If he is self employed then they can use his tax code in his employed work and then he can calulate the tax on his self employed work at the end of the year when doing his tax return.

Do adverts pay well? I suppose if he is swapping his shift he will do the same amount of hours though so won't be worse off financially for doing the advert.

That's really useful to know about the tax thing - I will let him know. OH is seriously disorganised about his finances though (am I telling you anything you don't already know?!) so how long it will take him to sort stuff out is anyone's guess!

When I spoke to him last night about it he said that he was on an emergency tax code (yeah, kinda guessed that!) and he was unsure about how many days that pay packet was for! Now, if it was me I'd be picking it apart to find out the exact state of play! But this is OH we are talking about - sigh!

It depends! Some pay well, some others not so well. The one he did earlier in the year he only made about £400 after deductions.

For this one, it depends whether they use it and what they use it for. He is getting £250 for the day's filming and then, I think, £1000 if they use it for a poster campaign and up to about £5000 if they use it for a TV/cinema campaign.
