I know - £24 is a drop in the ocean compared to an increase in interest of £100 per month  - but I do like to celebrate the small gains! (I think I would go mad otherwise!).

It is a positive sign though - we'll carry on crossing everything until you hear from Halifax.

That's what I was inclined to think! I hope so!

I have never missed a payment before on this card (or any card for that matter) and as far as I can remember there has never been a late payment on this card either. With any luck they will realise that this was just a blip and decide to be nice to me!

That is a positive sign. Fingers crossed for the APR too!

  • Hi All

Not a huge amount of news today!

Last night I went through Quidco and signed up for the Vernons deal – had great fun last night playing with my £10 deposit plus the £5 free Vernons gave me. I played quite a lot of games but my balance is still on about £16! Also played free bingo on Gala again, but won nothing as usual. I have noticed that there is another free bingo site on Quidco so I will check that one out tonight.

I have been updating my spreadsheet this morning – inputting my current available balance and the payments still to go out. It is looking surprisingly good! I don’t know what my new tax credits payments will be yet as I haven’t had my new award notice yet, but even if I receive nothing I can still pay everything I need to pay this month. This is assuming of course that OH pays the Halifax bill from now on! I need to be careful how much money I spend on groceries (I have told OH he is going to have to contribute much more to the food shopping) but I will still at least break even this month. Things are looking up!

My latest payment from Amazon has gone in this morning - £15.32 so a profit of £11.54. This means I am now up to £109.38 on the make £10 a day challenge – not bad for so early in the month!

I have copied sheepchick’s idea on the make a payment a day challenge thread and from now I will be including a number of pence to match the date to my daily payments of £1. So the payment I have made to my online saver today (which will go to my Tesco card next week) was £1.05 and the payments I have arranged to go out on Monday to my Egg card and my LTSB card will be £1.08. This will make it much easier to track which payments have actually hit the accounts they are paying off.

No more exciting news to report this morning. I will do a to-do list for today in a separate post. By the way, did anyone notice that I actually managed to complete yesterday’s to-do list?! Woohoo!

And in one final note – thank goodness it is Friday!!!

    Bye all!

  • Today’s to-do list

    · Go to Aldi on the way home to do a small amount of shopping (luckily we don’t need much)
    · Do surveys
    · Do daily clicks on Pigsback, Quidco and Bananalotto (if I don’t add this last one to my to-do list I shall forget to do it again!)
    · Check out new opportunities on Quidco
    · Check out other cashback sites (I have accounts with several but have never had a proper look!)
    · Do some washing
    · Put yesterday’s washing away if it is dry

    That’s plenty for a Friday I think!
