OH phoned me up about 3pm all excited - he is down to the final 2 for the ad and we will know tomorrow whether has got it. Woohoo!
He was so excited he sounded drunk! I had to ask him whether he had been drinking.
He actually said to me that he felt he was becoming more money-orientated (welcome to my world!!) - about bl**dy time!! Next time he wants to do something that is unpaid I shall remind him of that and I think I shall say no!!
Since I got home about an hour ago I have taken DS's stuff to him at his Dad's but I have just spent about 1/4 hour googling 'jobs' and found loads of websites which I have saved as favourites in a newly created folder called, you guessed it, 'jobs'! This should save some money on newspapers.
OH is due back home in about 1/2 hour so I have had my thinking cap on about what to do for dinner - I have had a long day myself and can't be bothered to do anything that requires too much effort! I think I will make up a packet pasta and sauce mix that I bought at Aldi the other day (39p I think) and do sausages to go with it - Linda Mac ones for me, cheap Iceland ones for OH.
Ooh Holby's on now - woohoo! I can multitask as well as anyone so I can Holby, MSE and probably Facebook as well at the same time!
Bye for now!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Grrrrr! It is now nearly 10pm and OH is still not home! I have just phoned him (2nd attempt) to see where he was as I was expecting him home at about 8:30pm. He is just getting on a train at Euston! He only had to wait until after 6:30pm to get on a train.
I asked him why he is late coming back and he wouldn't give me a straight answer. I told him that I was waiting for him to come back so I could put dinner on and why hadn't he phoned me to say he was going to be late? He didn't answer that either. I just said 'Whatever' and put the phone down.
Just feel like crying now. What the hell is going on? How can he be so inconsiderate. I bet he has been in the pub all this time after I asked him not to spend money on anything other than travel expenses.
Don't feel like eating now. Think I will just go to bed.PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi again piggin.
So sorry to hear about what happened last night.
I think you seriously need to sit down and work out what you get out of being with your OH.
It sounds like you are really unhappy and the main contributing factor is the strain your OH is putting on you, both financially and emotionally.
You DON"T deserve to be treated like this, it's not the way it's meant to be. You need someone who is going to support you, who is considerate enough to call you when they are going to be late etc etc.
Like I said in my earliar post, I used to go out with a good for nothing bludger who bled my dry financially and emotionally and now I'm with a brilliant bloke who treats me wonderfully. I'm just regretful I was with the loser for so long.
Piggin, Pleeeease sort him out!!!0 -
Not been able to post much lately but had to after reading your last post. You seem to be trying so hard and not getting much support in return. I really think your OH is taking the mickey at the moment and you do need a good talk with him.

Thanks and I understand what you're saying. OH does have many positive qualities (far more than my Ex did for example) - we are just going through a rough patch at the moment. All relationships do I am sure. OH and I have been through so many crises in the time we have been together (a crisis is always a good test of a relationship) and we have come through it - losing my job, illness, bereavement etc etc.
I always try and compare what my Ex's reaction would have been to certain situations - 'couldn't care less' is a fair approximation. Ex did have a lot more money but didn't share it, he was a complete control freak and didn't treat me with any dignity. Have I ever told the milk story? When we were still together and DS was very small (I wasn't working then) I had the milk delivered - because I didn't want to be in a situation where I was stuck at home having run out of milk and with no money to go and buy any. At least OH is not as bad as that!
We will definitely be having words this evening.PigginSkint's debt free diary

Thanks - I really appreciate it. I will definitely be sitting him down to talk to him this evening. Following on from my last post in reply to itangel I have just realised another difference between OH and Ex - I was never able to talk about anything with my Ex. If I ever tried to raise any subject that I was unhappy with, it would have been a case of 'you don't do so bad' end of discussion. Ex never listened or even considered what I had to say - there was his way and that was it.
If it sounds like I am trying to make excuses about OH, I'm not. It's just that I am feeling very depressed at the moment and I just need to try and make myself feel better!
We will get through this (we love each other, for pete's sake) - it's just really hard at the moment.PigginSkint's debt free diary

I am feeling very tired today. OH finally got home just before 1:00am last night – I pretended to be asleep. I was actually starting to get worried, but I suppose if his train was late arriving and then he walked home from the station (he must have done – I didn’t hear a taxi) then that would explain it. I was too upset to actually sleep for ages and it must have been about 2:00am when I finally dropped off – not great when you consider that my alarm goes off at 6:00am.
I’ve got lots to do again today. I must finish my stuff for my review – nearly there now, just got to update my JD (that’s a job that has taken a while!). I’ve got to go and see someone at 10:30am to do the final checks to an exam paper for Monday, then I suppose the rest of my day will be spent printing that off and putting the exam packs together (assuming that the rest of the stuff I need is ready for me to collect). Good job really – it’s not something I need any particular brain power for as it is a fairly long and tedious job. If it is something that I shall have to think about, it may well have to wait until tomorrow when I might be more awake.
I hope OH gets that job! We will know sometime today and he may have to go back down for a costume fitting this afternoon – filming is tomorrow. It pays £1000 (plus expenses) so that would come in very handy.
Right, I had better see what I else I could possibly do in my zombie state today.PigginSkint's debt free diary
