Hi All
I have just being doing battle with Egg Money Manager. I sent them a secure message the other day saying it wasn’t working. I have had quite a detailed response from their IT manager asking for lots of info to try to solve the problem. One of the questions was whether any security log-in details had been changed which reminded me that I have recently changed my password for LTSB. I have been onto EMM to change that, so those accounts are now showing, but nothing else. Anyway I have sent them a detailed reply back so fingers crossed.
I haven’t updated re Avon recently. My delivery came on Tuesday morning and I was a good girl and bagged it all up on Tuesday evening. On Wednesday evening we went out and did most of the deliveries and then went out again yesterday evening to try to deliver the rest – I have now got rid of all except 3 (one is my neighbour’s who is on hols atm). I also I have one left from last campaign. I got my books ready last night so OH is going to put them out for me today.
I have realised that there are quite a few credits that I haven’t claimed yet – I had a Money Maker Pack which I didn’t manage to sell, so that needs to go back, plus there was another item missing from the box last campaign or the one before so I need to claim for that as well. Luckily the item in question happened to be something that I had ordered for myself the previous campaign, so I was able to give that one to my customer and just need to claim a replacement for myself. That was good because I hate it when stuff doesn’t come – customers could be less likely to order stuff from me if they think there is a chance they might not get it.
The Christmas books for Avon are imminent, which is good because that always boosts my sales. I can’t believe we are on campaign 15 already (there are 18 in a year) – where has this year gone?!!!
Talking of time flying – where has this week gone? I can’t believe it is Friday already – hoorah! Roll on the weekend.
OH is going out with some friends tonight to see a tribute band. DS is with us this weekend so I won’t be going – I am not sure I would have fancied it anyway. I don’t do going out on a Friday – I am usually far too tired. Also it is definitely moneysaving if one of us goes!
I can actually live quite happily without go out. I did a lot of going out during the breakdown of my marriage and the fallout from it – I used to go out to avoid spending time in the house with the Ex (it took him over a year to move out after we split up!). Therefore going to pubs has painful associations in my head, if anyone knows what I mean! Likewise getting drunk so I very rarely do that any more.
Have a good day everyone and, if I don’t post later, have a good weekend.PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
I don’t know how much sense I am going to make to day, because I am sooooooo tired! I am having to do real mind-numbing stuff at work today (things that require no brain power) because I can’t cope with anything else at the moment! I daren’t do anything that requires any thought because I am bound to mess it up!!!
I got a letter on Saturday that I really wasn’t expecting. It was from GE Money, which is who I had my windows finance with. I have recently settled this finance because I transferred it to a credit card. Anyway, this letter was about the loan insurance I took out at the same time that I took the finance out, which was added to the balance. The letter told me that this insurance still runs until sometime in 2009 and that if I want to cancel it (I think so!!) I may be entitled to a rebate. Ooh exciting! I am not getting my hopes up about it but anything extra coming my way would be very pleasing!!!
I managed to get rid of 2 of my Avon deliveries over the weekend – just one more to do. I will try that one again this evening when I collect the books.
On Saturday we watched the 2nd of the 2 DVDs we have got on the latest free trial rental. Hopefully OH will be sending them back today. I hope that’s enough time to get some more sent to us. The free trial ends on 29th which gives us nearly 2 weeks. I want to cancel it by next Monday at the latest really so there is no danger of missing the deadline – we have cut it very fine for the previous ones we have had!!
Did some more MSE/DFW cooking yesterday. I made some chilli bean casserole which I separated into 4 portions to freeze – very cheap and very tasty. I have still got some lentil croquettes in there but it means I can ring the changes! I also made some sandwich filling for my sandwiches this week (last week it was salads) – I didn’t have a lot in the fridge and I can’t cope with just cheese as it makes me feel sick. When I lived in Middlesbrough I used to really love cheese savoury sandwiches so I have made myself some cheese savoury filling – grated cheese, grated carrot, finely chopped onion and salad cream. Yum!! I also taught DS how to make cheese scones and he actually did a very good job with them (once he had mastered the art of rubbing fat into flour – that took a bit of time). His school has now banned junk food from packed lunches so he can no longer takes crisps – the scones are to replace the crisps. He was taking ham sandwiches last year but he revealed that he was only able to tolerate them if he put his crisps in them!! What he really likes is jam sandwiches but they go soggy if you make them ahead of time, so what he has been doing is taking some bread and butter and some jam in a plastic pot to add to the sandwich at lunchtime.
I actually got out in my garden yesterday and did a bit of weeding – still need to do some more but my garden waste bin is now nearly full. I am hoping OH will mow the lawn today – it badly needs doing and he has been saying that he will do it for about the last 2 weeks! Grrr!!! He has also still not set up his internet banking yet – there are 2 bills that I want him to pay, which of course he still hasn’t done. It’s a good job that they are not particularly urgent because I have been making payments to them anyway to cover spending etc.
I got my Capital One statement yesterday – this is the one where I made my payment late. As expected they have slapped a £12 charge on. I shall phone them up and ask them very nicely to waive this!
I think that’s all for now. Bye all!PigginSkint's debt free diary
