Oh hope you've slept well
Ignore me rambling on about pancakes, i thought it was Shrove Tuesday today. I'm such a doughnut! At least i know i've everything in ready for NEXT TuesdayOne step at a time0 -
You had me confused there for a while Hopeful! Where do you get your smilies from? i tried to copy in a sleepy one from hystersisters and couldn't get it to work.
Been back to clinic today - large bandage and sling now replaced by a smaller dressing. Got my first look at my finger today - quite an impressive set of stitches! Can move my other fingers now but that is about it - still very limited in what I am allowed or able to do! No lifting (even light things), gripping, writing or typing (am typing left handed), etc, etc. At least I can dress myself a bit easier now!
Dressing (which keeps my finger straight) stays on until stitches come out in 2 weeks time - so I still can't bend my finger for the time being. That's going to be interesting - trying to bend my finger after being straight for a month!PigginSkint's debt free diary

I forgot to say - OH is currently away for a couple of days filming for a pop video/ad campaign. He is having lots of fun playing with boys' toys! First audition after getting back from London and he got the job - woohoo!:jPigginSkint's debt free diary

I'll try to do smiley links later as in a rush now. I've got a few pages saved in my favourite folder.
How's the unbendable finger today?One step at a time0 -
Thanks Hopeful
I was a bit ambitious when dressing myself today - and I really hurt myself! I had to keep checking my dressing to make sure I wasn't bleeding.
A warning, I suppose, that I have got to be careful.
It's a good job I'm not at work - I would never have coped. Not least because I am spending a lot of time asleep - the tablets I suppose.
I am expecting OH to walk through the door any minute now. And DS is due home soon. Good, because I have a list of jobs for them both!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
A very frustrating day today. I have been feeling very zombiefied all day. Lots of problems with t'internet today - lost connection late morning then it was hours and lots of reboots before I got it back again. Then FB & FV both playing up big time. Result = lots of shrivelled raspberries! Kept ploughing and replanting then losing again! If that wasn't bad enough I have already done this post once and lost it somehow! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!:mad::mad:PigginSkint's debt free diary

Things always go wrong when you're not feeling 100%. I have resisted farming but FB has been very unpredictable and dodgy over the last few days. Hope OH got all the jobs done and that you have a better weekend xOne step at a time0 -
Thanks Hopeful - I am feeling a little better now.
OH and I mutually agreed not to buy cards or pressies for Valentine's Day - February is a heavy month for us with both of our birthdays, other family birthdays and our anniversary. We have just had a lovely meal and a really good bottle of red wine instead. Suits me fine!
we are just watching some Life on Mars - box set that OH got me for Christmas. OH will be going back to work shortly - he is doing a split shift at the care home today. Once he goes I shall probably watch some more Poirot on ITV3, perhaps some of the Winer Olympics if there is some on the freeview channels!
Having said that OH is currently snoring his head off on the other sofa!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
Ooh look at me! I'm typing with both hands today! It is the first day that I have tried it and so far so good, but I bet I'll pay for it later! I must add that I am not actually using the poorly finger yet (I'm not that daft!) but to actually be using this hand to type is definitely progress.
I've not had a great week actually - I have had lots of headaches and OH and I had a blazing row on Tuesday night (pancake day), over the making of pancakes of all stupid things! There were 2 main factors:
1) OH was making a complete b*lls up of the pancakes
2) I was feeling deeply frustrated at not being able to do stuff, including the making of pancakes
We kissed and made up soon after - following me making a pancake (with great difficulty) for OH as a peace offering. Everything is all lovey dovey now I am glad to say!
Thank heavens for the Winter Olympics I say - it is keeping me amused during the long days at home! Love watching the nutters doing the downhill skiing and the luge!PigginSkint's debt free diary
