Well done. Excellent result.
I had to start court action against them too in order to get my money back. However, in my case they refunded me before the judgement was made. Love the way you hit them for interest too,
As you point out, it's very easy and unthreatening to commence Small Claims action online.
For anyone out there struggling to get their money back I have contact information for various Yes Loans personnel (direct phone and email) and am more than happy to provide it to anyone that needs it. Email me on yorkshire-lad400@hotmail.co.uk

Why cant you spell the details here? Too many posts in a thread asking people to email you! No offense, but sounds like a scam to me.I am neither a bull nor a bear. I am a FTB, looking for a HOME, not a financial investment!0 -
My friend applied for a loan with YES after falling behind with his dads debenhams card, he had learning disabilities and got really depressed about it until one day he had had so much he started a google ads campaign up to warn people and called their head office on some number asking for random people and claiming to be from welsh water saying if they didnt pay their water bill they would block the sewage, telling them he was the MD's brother and his wife was in an accident and after about 3 hours they initiated the refund. He was so upset that there were people like that he ended up spending hundreds on google ads and clicking their ads for a month... kind of perthetic really on both parts but I highly doubt yes loans have ever actually given more than maybe 100 people loans EVER- HSBC Premier - Mastercard £9,000 - Overdraft £6,000 - MBNA Platinum £3k (£2,500 @ 0% SPENT) - American Express Platinum £6,100 - Coutts Classic Card £5,000 - House Of Fraser Recognition Mastercard / Santander Cards £250 -
- Bank Americard Limit $3100 - Citi Mastercard Limit $700 - WalMart Discover Card $2,500 Limit -0 -
Yes loan is need of every person and this is useful for everyone.0

Hi,
For some reason my original reply has been removed.
The information I have contains personal (and in one case, private) contact details for Yes Loans people. I was warned on another forum about the legality of posting that sort of info on a public forum - as such I prefer to email if to who ever needs it.
This is not a scam I can assure you. Yes Loans took money from my daughter in 2007 and it took me some months to get it back (culminating in legal action). I gathered lots of good information during this process and thought that it would be useful to other people in their battle to get their money back from Yes Loans. I've helped over 2000 people in the last two years.
All the best

The OFT have renewed their licence on condition that they revise certain of their terms and conditions and make refunds within 30 days. See OFT website for press release. I'm pretty outraged; they should have lost their licence last year.Magiciansgirl0

Hi there!
I too was sucked into believing that I would get a loan through Yes Loans as they know all the right things to say to people who have bad debt and are desperate for money!
They charged me £69.50 and AFTER I gave them my details I though - Wait a minute I am skint and they are taking 70 quid out of my bank - I called them immediately and was given the " oh you must write to us etc etc" so I thought I would call my bacnk and find out if they could help in any way! AND THEY CAN!!!
Although the money has been requested by Yes Loans, after it has actually been taken out of your account, your bank can get it back for you and it will take 3-5 days to go back into your account!
My bank told me it has to leave your account for them to request it back.
So I hope this helps some people - I think this solution would only work if it has happened within a few days but I am not entirely sure.

same happened to me , i applied online with sainsburys to see if i could get a loan after a split with my partner, as she left me in lots of debt last year, im now debt free and was curious but was refused.
next day yes loans were calling me,i went through it all and the nice lady said ohh congratulations youve been accepted for yes loans blahh blahh, i told her i would like 5k for a car over 1 year, she took my bank details then said about taking a 69 pound admin fee to get things rolling, at this point my friend was listening and was jesturing to me to end the call, so i said to the lady that i would have to pay the fee tomorow, Ohh no problem she said we will debit it from ur acc tomorow to which i replied i didnt have any funds in account and would be useing another one.
she then said she was going to pass me onto someone else but i forget what for, anyway the phone went dead :P
as they have my details do u think they will debit my account tomorow and take there 69 pounds?
i guess i will have to call bank in morning to make sure they cant.0 -
Certainly they will try and you should definitely phone your bank. These people are disgusting.Magiciansgirl0
