Ring your bank and tell them about the expected payment. Get them to stop it.

Does anyone know what exactly to quote from the trading standards website?I paid, what I thought was £59.50 for the processing fee, however, according to my bank that is now £79.50.

I only went through the application with them on Tuesday morning so any help would be appreciated.
• I made the same mistake of being desperate. I contacted Yes Loans and they were very helpful. I was contacted by them today to say there has been an update and that they have found me a lender. I must of been mistaking in my haste as i thought Yes Loans were the actual lender. I was qouted a APR i was happy with and my monthly payback when i originally contacted them. After a call today they told me that welcome finance was the actual lender and that the loan was only really for 2000 where I wanted 3500. I guess they did their job in finding me a lender for my low credit score but I decided to decline the offer of 2000 to find an alternative way of seeking the money. I was laughed at and was told that I was telling lies about why I wanted the money. I became angry and hung up.

Would not advise Yes loans at all.
• ScottUK - being offered less than you wanted is a standard Yes Loans move. If the loan was through Welcome Finance then they would have probably wanted a guarantor too and the interest rate would have been in the region of 68% APR. Email me on yorkshire-lad400@hotmail.co.uk and I'll give you good contact email addresses and advice on how to get your "admin fee" back.
• I've just fallen victim to Yes loans scam!. I wanted 3000 and they told me 280 a month over 12 months which is 3360 in total. I paid the admin fee after being bombarded with texts and phone calls. Then I got the call telling me they'd found a lender for me. I too was shocked to discover that in my haste I had been lead to believe that they were the lender. The 3000 welcome finance offered me would have been 6000 by the time I paid them back. I've sent them an email and am now waiting for a response. I've also lodged a complaint with the financial ombudsman about the way they were so misleading. I also sent an email to the Office of fair trading telling them how misleading they were. I am now going to try the trading standards route which it seems some have been more successful with. I'll write with any good advice I gain while I'm trying to get my admin fee back. I hope you will tell all your friends or anyone you know who is trying to get credit not to bother with these people as it's quite obviously a scam and once they have your admin fee they try as best they can to hold onto it. BEWARE... There's probably more companys out there doing the exact same scam. In future I will always check something out on the net before I sign any papers!.

• i have recently been contacted by this scam company gave them my details and surprise surprise they accepted me. i agreed for them to take a "admin" fee 1 week from today then discovered this site and how wrong i was. i rang the bank which could not stop the payment as they are a real company, so after ringing yes back and getting put on hold twice only for 1 minute each after which i hung up rang a third time and demanded the operators name which he gave as yes finance. i eventually got his name and then told them not to put me on hold again, i then explained i wanted to cancel my pending payment which he was reluctant to do, as i "would not get a loan anywhere else" so i persisted and he told me it was canceled. i gave it 30 mins then rang back again and went through it all again just to find out whether or not it had been canceled and found that the payment had been stopped. im just waiting now to make sure no money goes out. so the only advice i can give is to get the operators name and extension number and harrass the same operator if you have been led on. otherwise STEER WELL CLEAR.
• Phew, luckly ive just foun these posts.

I needed a loan quickly for a van for my job-need asap- and as my credit rating poor, i had a look around and found Yess Loans. Applied and got accepted, blah blah blah. Like everyone else i payed the £59.90 fee and then befor sending paper work i found this forum-glad i did. So i rang back and asked for a refund only to be put on hold for 15 minutes plus. Hung up rang again-same happend. Rang a third time and told them i dont want to be put on hold again as i have bin for ages. The girl by the name of Rachel didnt seem to like it and said she has to put me through to the right department-when i paid the money initialy they didnt seem to have to put me through-happy to take money!!!! Anyway i told them ill email insted and she said that be ok, so that i am. Rang my bank (HSBC) and they said i cant stop the payment as i athourised it but to ring back once it out of my account and they will then get on to it as i will have a 14day cooling off period.

One thing i can say is i WILL get my cash-had probs like this before and i never give up;) , and i must start checking places 1st and act later.

Ill keep you all updated.

Also just to ask, does anyone know of a TRUSTED lender i could get a loan from as i am desperatly in need of a van for my job.

Cheers all
