Ohh, got carried away with messages....

Forgot to mention that I've just transferred my car insurance policies and am saving £513.24 per year, including having now protected OH's NCD (mine was already protected).

Hello peeps, it's been ages since I've checked in and even longer since I posted. I have been in and out of hospital for the last month since a scan on Halloween day showed I had a large mass. Anyway this was removed last week and I'm now back home, I was weighed the night before surgery and again two days later and had 'lost' 10 kg - 22lbs! The surgeons are hopeful that it was caught in time but I will get the official results in a couple of weeks. I can't tell you what a nightmare it's been, I have definatley looked death in the face and it's not nice, but I've learnt that we need to tell our loved one's that we love them because no one knows what's round the corner. Feeling quite emotional -sorry.
Anyway it seems a little irrelevant now but we will be debt free at midnight, when our last DD payment goes out to NR.

    No.069 £7719 / £7719 = 100%

Well done J-M and all the other df's and keep going everyone else you can do it :)

Well done on being debt free and I hope your health takes a positive path after your op, sending (((hugs)))

Just needed to share this...we've spent about £4k on interest this year!! And that's without even starting to think about mortgage interest!!

I can't believe how stupid we've been. So pleased I had my LBM last year! I'm just off to bang my head against the wall repeatedly :D :wall: :rotfl:

But on the other hand, if you hadn't had been so focussed on repaying those debts this year, you could've spent much more on interest, keep it up!:)

Jemma, am I allowed to stay on this friendly little thread please? I've been for a wander around the other possible threads and it's all a bit scary  they're not as nice as you lot :o

If I am allowed can I let you know that I made my first transfer into my safety pot today from Fleabay sales £50 / £1000

Oh and I promise not to be gloaty (if that's a word!) x

You're doing so well Spag :A It doesn't seem that long ago that you were at 20%, and now look at you- at over 30% of a mahooosive total, keep going :)

The main fleabay sale was of my Aleksander meerkat that I got for shopping around and saving on the business van insurance. (£35!)

Yes, we seemed to hang around 20% for AGES! We have done loads of overtime and freelance work that is all being paid at the moment so that's why there is a big push now. We are waiting on a bit more but I don't think we'll get the extra 3.3% to make it a third paid off. In any case, with all the interest we still owe more than 70% so I'm not that bothered. I want to start the next challenge with £43k owing, then 1% will only be £430 rather than £580!!

The meerkat profit is amazing!! Well done :T:rotfl:
