Also have been very MSE these last few days, yesterday made a banoffee pie (gluten free of course!) as my mum gave me some bananas she bought in the reduced section and I had all the other ingredients at homeand today I have made buns and custard cookies
again will all ingredients in the cupboard
I still have half a pot of double cream in the fridge so im going to make up the jelly tomorrow that I found hiding in the back of the cupboard, and leave it to set over night, then whip up the rest of the cream and plop a big dollop on each jelly for the kids and DH to have as a pudding on sundayif they are veeeeeeeeery good, I might even grate some of the left over Mr A smart price dark chocolate on the top :rotfl: I spoil them so :rotfl:

Just thought I'd share my MSEing today - thought I would try Martin's tips on cheap hotel rooms for our long weekend to Amsterdam in October - we are desperate for a little time to ourselves.
I tried priceline.com via the link on here, and you bid for an unnamed hotel, I bid £50 a night for 4* and it was turned down. Tried £65 this evening and it was accepted for a 5* in the city centre!!
Wish i'd bid £55 now but i'm still chuffed. If it all works out fine i might never use anything else again. I saved £200 off the lowest internet rate:money::xmastree:POMDB Xmas 2013 Board - Paid off £12k in 2012 :j:j :xmastree:

Very idiot proof
3oz Icing Sugar
6oz Margerine
5oz Plain Flour
2oz Custard Powder (I used Mr A smart price custard mix)
Cream together the icing sugar and margerine, add the flour and custard powder, mix into a dough.
Form into a sausage shape and wrap in cling film, chill in fridge for 2 hrs
remove cling film, cut into slices and place on greased baking tray, bake for 10mins on 180
now mine didnt make a firm dough which I think might be either because I used utterly butterly or because ive dropped my scales so many times I cant actually guarantee they are measuring correctlybut I just did my best with the knife and as they spread anyway it wasnt really a problem, half of them have already been eaten so they cant be that bad

10p to go on onepoll! No surveys yest and I tried a LOT! 3 today but disqualified from all!! Desperate for a break as have deprived myself of so much this year but the debt paid off and interest I could have paid to catalogues is a lot of cash! I've struggled and learnt a lesson, but as the interest over a year comes up to about 80% of what you've spent, I've prob saved myself £12K of debt by managing to put debt onto a low interest card and borrowing from family/CUs but mainly just throwing huge chunks of my salary at it. They just keep increasing your credit limit, so it's tempting! I decreased mine from 6K - seriously, why would you need that amount of credit?! I'm going to keep lowering it, then tackle other debts, but all this debt busting is now making me exhausted rather than enthusiastic (which I've felt for at least ten months!)0

I know exactly how this feels, see my post a few days (or weeks?) back. Perhaps doing a challenge like this you reach a hump towards the end and need to just regroup to get over and continue. Keep posting on here, it really helps to be with people in the same boat I findYou've done so well and saving all that interest is no mean feat :T When this is all over you'll be able to do so much with that money and without this debt!!
