  • Lots of bills have come out today so have a new total:

    #304 £1,909.92/£5,210.12 (36.66%)

I'm sooooo close to 2k paid, however think it will slip back again once I include the spends on my cc, so I don't think I'll get there this month :(

My dress sold on ebay over the weekend for £33.50, so I'm well chuffed with that, but I'll wait until she gets it before I transfer the money to pay something off.

  • Just opened the post to find we've been invited to yet another wedding - we only went to one last night!. Thank god it's only the evening do, but it's in december!!! Panic has already set in with regards to what to wear - never been to a winter wedding before - it's going to be ******* freezing!!!

I haven't updated in a while due to my MOT and a little bit of a holiday but I'm back on track now with almost 75% paid off!

  • Yay for tax refund!

They re-calculated my taxes from 2006-2011, and that was a nice £96 refund (I'm still due a few hundred from last tax year). Nice timing, as I can have just a little extra spending money for my small holiday :j :j

I won't update the debt total until I get back next week though, I'd rather have a small update next week, than be over-ambitious and have to take it back next week.

Thanks that's really useful - I'll bear that in mind when I start deciding which direction to go in :).

Feel free to ask anything:) BT is suffering a huge skills shortage in the current recruitment crisis so that's the way I would go and you will always be needed for nightshifts (nightmare in a way but more money).

Little update on DS1 Biology result, the Headmaster phoned today to say there has been a clerical error in the marking and that DS should have been awarded 6 more marks :D I think we still might have it remarked though because it will still only be a C, when he got A* in all his other coursework.
Also, a fleabay payment means that I have at last got Mr Branson and his pesky CC off my back:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j ALL GONE hahaha.

I went to an evening wedding reception in November last year and I just wore an outfit that I'd previously worn to a Christmas do. People don't seem to dress up quite so much if they're just asked to the evening do - well, where we live anyway ;).

Great that your DS has gone up to a 'C' but like you say probably worth getting a remark just in case - at least you'll feel like you've done everything you can.
