I think that's actually better ruby. If I only paid minimum payment now, it still would take me about 227 months to pay off!! You'll get there quicker. Well done on having only £150 left to pay! You'll be the next one in the roll of honour!

Erm, not if I win the Euromillions this weekend. :rotfl:If I win the £148 million, I promise to clear the debts of everyone who "likes" my post. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::p ;)

I never buy a ticket, but might just see my way clear to investing £2 for this one......

  • Aaargh! Have now discovered that as from Nov 2012, the overdraft fees on the Halifax current account are going up AGAIN! Daily fees are now £3 if you are more than £3K overdrawn. I'm still going to pay the Next card, after a wobble when I saw this, as actually we don't go over £3K for more than a day or two, but it gives me the incentive to start to throw a bit of cash at the OD sooner rather than later.

    I think I'll join this :)

Having just bought our first home, we really need to get our finances in order.

I currently owe £4515 on various credit cards and catalog accounts and including my overdraft, and would love to have this all paid off by Christmas 2012.

I'm not really sure of the best way to go about it because my overdraft is constantly at its limit. I think for the time being, my best approach would be to make double the minimum payments on the cards, minimum payment on catalog (littlewoods) as there's no interest on the catalog and save save save.
