Jakes - Mum - that made me LOL in the office and everyone looked at me! I really shouldn't be reading the thread in work time, but its a slack month! :D

Choclover - Many Congratulations !! - Emily is so beautiful (and a fab choice of name as I have an Emily too). I'm so happy for you and your family x

Psychobabble - *hugs* to you. Your so called friends don't sound like they are worth knowing, but I understand that its difficult cos you will need to work with them when you go back. Have any of them contacted you since your text?

Jemma - I hope your back is better now.

Canucksfan - Congratulations on the scan results. You must be so relieved :) Try to slow down a bit now though.

Shrewbie - I hope you have a great holiday. Hopefully some time away relaxing together will help you both sort things out.

Kerri- If I've read your post right, you'll be on your way home now. Welcome Home & Enjoy your time with your OH when he arrives on Tuesday x

Well done to everyone who has paid something off their debts. I am amazed at your dedication.

Nothing more to update from me. I'm waiting for Monday & will make some more payments - I'm aiming for 60% at the end of July, but as the kids finish school next week, I know that when things get expensive.

Got Hubby's two younger sisters staying over, already gone through two loaves of bread since Wed eve with toast for breakfast and supper. A loaf usually lasts me a week :p

Also, you know that concert I'm annoyed with DH for buying tickets for both nights? Well he's currently watching it on the internet from Russia for free!

    Hmmm...certainly considering it:D

What is amusing me is that he's taken photos of the gig on his phone off the computer screen because he won't be able to get photos that good when he goes to the real concerts!:rotfl:

Sorry I havent updated or posted for a while, I have been trying to recalculate - I consolidated all our debt onto my new 0%, and discovered that my husband had an extra £2k hanging around on a credit card.
So I've had to add that to the total, as I've been doing this on total joint debt. I'm pretty cross, but I can't be too self righteous as I was just as bad once. But I'm worried he can't stick to a budget ever. :(

Right Jemma, sorry about this, I need to change the original amount to add in the £2k my husband owned up to, so it should be

    #307 £3,528.80 / £18,388.93

Which looks rubbish, but the balance transfer fee to consolidate means the interest is front loaded, so it looks negative this month too. But its all straight to the bottom line from now on in.

I sympathise with this - my DH is not being too bad atm but I can never be sure he isn't suddenly going to go on a mad spending spree and wreck all our hard work. He's much better than he was since I told him when I had my LBM (in January) that being in debt constantly was stressing me out so much it was making me ill. Just to give you some idea of what he was like, before Christmas he got paid some overtime and before he'd even got it he'd spent it plus £250 more than that  on carp. I went mental and told him how selfish he was but it's difficult as he earns the money and I used to be terrible with money too.
