He's much better than he was since I told him when I had my LBM (in January) that being in debt constantly was stressing me out so much it was making me ill. Just to give you some idea of what he was like, before Christmas he got paid some overtime and before he'd even got it he'd spent it plus £250 more than that  on carp. I went mental and told him how selfish he was but it's difficult as he earns the money and I used to be terrible with money too.
Thanks, I know it is really hard, as actually it is the other way around for us, I am the main earner, so I try not to be too bossy about money (although I end up being bossy as I have the spreadsheet). He spends it at football on a saturday, and when he was really depressed a couple of years ago he told me it was his only "escape" so I don't like to tell him not to spend time with him friends. Anyway, if I say it quickly £18k doesnt sound too bad.

Been a bit of a tough week for me money-wise. First had to pay Student Loans an unexpected £230, then my tenants cost me another £80 for no good reason... A long story I won't bore you all with!
I know one day I will have money saved up for things like this but it hurts! I can just see my DF date slipping further backand it is so frustrating. It's just life innit.
I guess one good thing is that although I've had a crap money week and I've got a cold and haven't been out all day, and have loads of work on, I don't feel too bad depression-wise. What would have been a total black hole is now just a dip. My new meds are really a lot more effective than the old ones.
Feeling a bit sorry for myself tonight, need to stay positive and keep eyes on the prize!Debt paid off: £19,999 Debt remaining: NONE!!:money::eek::):j:j:j:j:j:j0 -

Yes it's very frustrating when you have a goal date for paying debts off and have made the decision to do this and then things keep happening to push this goal date back - I know that feeling .
I hope you feel better soon and at least your new meds are working well.

Hey everyone, sorry I've not been around the past couple of days. Friday was manic with work flooding. We have customers' products in a warehouse that we lease from a third party so I had to sort out all the insurance liabilities and legal stuff from the damage. The weekend has just in a blur and it's the running club tonight!
I cannot wait till I get back though and then I'll tot up our total for June, I'm hoping it's going to be mega!!!!
I've just been working through my numbers and need to have a word with myself as I've been very naughty this month!!! I've decided to send the garmin back and just rely on my phone app when I can't route it online. It will have to do as it's just too fiddly for me to use...
I managed to get 4-5hours in the garden yesterday and I've had my first peas, carrots and spring onions!!!! They taste absolutely delicious... I cannot wait to eat my potatoes once they are ready.
How is everyone? xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Not having a great debt paying month: Spent too much last month, have just paid car and house insurance in full (to avoid paying extra for monthly payments) and car repairs (may set me back even more this month).

Hi all, had a fab weekend away! Had a lovely evening with Mr S's mum sis and bro's gf. The film was ace... pixar always do good. Couple of scary moments for kids though. Saw a few stars and drank with Spud from trainspotting at the EIFF closing party. Unfortunately now I'm counting down to my return to work.
I've updated my snowball and it ain't pretty, I've gone over the 2k mark again but IF i manage to keep food spending to a minimum while training and my sortofmum funds my festival spending next week then it should go back under. Not updating my total on here until it's back to what it is in my signature!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Gutted, can't get on to my internet bank account. Has had to be reset and have to wait for about 10 days for different codes to come on different days before I can reload it. Only tried to see what was in there:eek:
Oh well will stop me spending but also can't make any payments either.
Hope all are well, hugs to those who need them.;)
