.................me again. I need some advice!
I have a Gucci watch given to me as a present from an ex boyfriend, now I'm getting married next year and I'm not sure what to do with the watch. Every time I wear it, it reminds me of my ex who was lovely and we didn't fall out just drifted apart. What should I do with the watch?
I've had a look on flebay, and they are making about £60 for a second hand one. But I don't know if I should get rid of it.
What do you reckon?
I think it depends if you will continue to use it. I'm a proper hoarder, but every year or so I fill a box with stuff I'm not sure I need. Anything that is still in the box after 3 months goes to the charity shop (I'm actually a little scared of fleabay). Maybe you could try the same sort of thing? If you don't miss it after 3 months then sell it?:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. William Shatner

So payday again today, which means another set of repayments this time including the new big joint loan but without hubbies horrid credit cards. :j I've also removed the catalogue from my signature as I have now closed the account and got a refund of £1.70 overpayment.
My personal loan is down to 2 payments, M&S Visa I've paid off another £300 which makes the total tantalisingly close to the £6k mark. So what the heck I'm going to make an extra payment of £32 which will take it to £5999.62
Savings have only gone up by £60 because I had to borrow £200 from it last week to stop the current account going overdrawn. My extreme couponing got a bit carried away and whilst I saved about £70 it total I also spent an extra £160 and created something of a stock pile
I'm very interested in the way other people make small reduction to chip away at the debt mountain, so I might copy someone (sorry can't remember who it was) and check my bank balance daily taking out to leave a nice round number and sending it to the credit card. Love that idea.
I've also managed to get all the stuff I want to sell on ebay photographed but I missed out on the free listing weekend as I panicked on the postage with the rates going up.My Debt Free Diary LBM March 2010

:)Morning all!
Feeling rather grumpy today. Despite all my exercising this week and eating fairly well, I've lost no weight at all. Had a rant at the WiiFit man, called him a liar who was sulking cos we'd not used him all week, yes I know, I sound bonkers! :rotfl:
Got the CC bill yesterday. To cover what I spent on it last month and the estimated interest I'm going to have to pay £140 :eek:I really didn't want to spend that much on it with going away in a couple of weeksand I'm annoyed with myself that when I do pay it, it won't actually dent my debt AGAIN!
It's payday today though so I'm going to sit down tonight and look at my finances for the month, plan a menu for next week and write a shopping list for tomorrow.
Rant over! Have a good day xxx0 -
Aww, his missus you sound like you need :grouphug:. It is rubbish when you know you've eaten well and exercised but still not lost weight.
With the debt, don't forget that even though you aren't making a dent in it this month, you have come so far already, and you are taking control with planning ahead.:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. William Shatner

That's a really good idea. We are moving in a few months, so I'm trying to scale down everything that I own. It would be an excellent way to see if I miss stuff.
Thanks ever so much.October make £10/day currently £11.020 -

His misses can't tell you how many times I've fallen out with the scales!
Quick hello from me. Went to the doctors to pick up prescription which they got wrong after operating on no sleep promptly burst into tears, then went straight through to get another prescription, gotta go back on wednesday and another bunch of tablets for after the antibiotics.
Did some research last night and the doctor was happy I knew the two drugs I wanted but can't prescribe them as its at consultant level and they are worried about putting me on them. Spoke with husband as part of the condition is changing my depo to combined which I don't want to happen but must and he's all fine about that.
My research on the internet found the following complications as well:
General malaise (feeling unwell and tired). Depression.
Chronic infection leading to problems such as anaemia, kidney failure and low levels of protein in the blood.
Joint pains and inflammation (arthropathy).
Plus it flares up with stress. Bingo! Anyway doped to the eyeballs on painkillers now. Good news from overseas0
