Ahh we all get like this, PMT is the worst, I was literally a psychopath once a month until I got an implant on the recommendation of a mate, literally I became a new woman (and only 1 period very 3 months :j).
Are you looking for a change in career? quite a few of the girls on here have made the decision to find what they really want to do with their life, rather than trudge on in something they hate. Lifes very short to be miserable, ths thread isnt just about debt busting its about finding out who we really are and what we want to do with our lives (well it is to me anyway.) Its amazing how much alot of our spending seems to have come from boredom/depression/hiding from our own problems.
Hopefully you will speak/see your son tomorrow, such a shame when problems arise in familiescouldnt imagine not seeing my son on his birthday, big hugs for you.

Hi all, glad you're back Affordmylife.
Well, I went into town today. Luckily I was smart enough to pay upfront for only an hour's parking cus my god there's sooo much temptation out there! It's ok when you stay away from the shops, can't see it so don't want it. In the end my frugal side won and I came away after spending just under £7 on a birthday card and flowers for my mum.
Big spend tomorrow, getting my hair done. Honestly my roots have really suffered because of all these cc payments! :eek:Make £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020

Hi there,
I only tend to post with my updates, but I just had to write to say it took a lot of guts to come back and apologise so well done! We all have stress and issues in our lives to deal with and they can get on top of us. This forum group is so supportive and understanding so you are not on your own.

Pay off all my debts my xmas 2012 challenge #13:j0 -
Just a quick note first to say that I've had a quick sneak preview and we've hit the £400k milestone everyone so well done!!!!!
Anyway, here is my 2nd epic post of the week at 1700 words but I'm finally up to date, wahoo!!!!!!!!
GreenSaints – Well done on your payment hun, I bet you can’t believe you are soooooo close to being rid of the banks! It’s such a superb amount of money that you have paid off in total since January 2011.
EyesWideOpen – you sound mega busy, I hope your work calms down a bit soon. Well done on your payment, you are sooooooo close to 10%!!!
Psychopathbabble – if you could jet off for a full winter on unpaid leave, where would you go? Oooooh a meerkat experience, that would be amazing! When is Mr S’s birthday? Have you found out yet whether the NHS will pay for you to go private if it’s gone over a certain time limit? Ok send some biscuits this way missus!!!!
Fallenwiccan – well your LBM was to enable to you to get a place of your own and now you have! That’s a perfect story x I really hope you don’t get affected by redundancies hun, is it you or your OH that could be at risk?
His missus – have you got any special plans for your 40th next year? (except for the cruise that is!) oooooh did you catch your OH with his hand in the savings jar for the garlic bread??? I’m super impressed with all your exercise especially your swimming as I’m sooooo not a morning person... How on earth do you manage to function before 10am??? Ok I need to hold my hand up and say I’ve not actually been to Zumba myself yet...! It is clashing with my running club but I like the look of the Body Combat session instead on Thursdays...ooops that’s tonight!
SpagBol – Wow that is so true when you said that you are saving more money now that your income has dropped because you have more time and don’t turn to convenience anymore! It’s amazing how much stress and overwork can make you through all your diet/exercise plans out of the window and reach for a takeaway as you haven’t the energy to do anything else... Well done on your MSE-sized blow out buying your jeans! And thanks for your lovely words hun x
Jakes-mum – awwww I read your post about your dream to go to Disneyland Florida and I could just picture you as a young child wanting to go but finally realising that not all dreams work out the way you expect. It is in NO WAY a stupid dream, I think it’s rather beautiful and completely selfless as you want your children to have the experiences that you never had and through them you’ll also have achieved your dream. I think you are a shining example of a parent with this post x I’ve just read your post about your cereal and allergies/intolerances and I’m with you on this one. I have certain foods I just cannot eat and people think I have a really bad diet because of it but they just don’t see me having a plate of veggies in the evening (interspersed with the odd takeaway admittedly...). maybe I should set up a blog where I can post photos of what I eat in the evening so they can get off my case! HAPPY BIRTHDYA FOR SATURDAY!!!!!!! xxx
Kerfuffle – you make me laugh with your comments on your carpet! Don’t worry about who you thank hun as it’s entirely up to you. I thank EVERYBODY but it’s mainly cos it’s the only way to keep an eye on where I’ve updated up until!!! So if I’ve not thanked your post then that’s because I haven’t got to that post to update it yet although I may have read it already and may even have commented on the spur of the moment! There is no rule on etiquette here except to be courteous hun which you are x I loved the Hawaii versus sun lamp option to combat SAD, I’m sure you can get both from your doctor...try it! It’s a BOY!!! How lovely hun, I hope it call goes smoothly and you’re very welcome for the post x
Antonia1 – well said! We are all in a much better position now that we are paying at least some of our debt off rather than staying as we were in lives that made us miserable and trapped by debt. Paying off our debts will give us freedom for the first time in years (decades for some of us) and that is incredible that we have that power to change our lives for the better. Not long now until you leave that job hun and you start a whole new chapter of your life where you are happy and in control! *runs in to say that there is dispute over whether Henry VIII had 6 wives or only legally 2...runs off to hide again* Wow Olympic tickets, congrats!!!
Barbeduk – Oh no, I’m sorry that you and your OH have had such bad problems between you. I’m glad it’s improving but, like you say, you’re both going to at least be in a position to make a choice in future and not be constrained by your finances. I really hope things get much better for you both. I bet you’re going to look and feel fab after your hair is done tomorrow x
Affordmylife – I really hope you come back my dear, every single person in this thread is just as special as the next xxx never mind hun, we are always here for you and thank you for staying with us, we all have such busy and hectic lives and some people seem to have more of a bad time than others at times and we just have to pull together. Let’s just forget it’s happened as no one here holds grudges x
Bonglecat – your mum definitely started you off on the debt wagon at an early age. I don’t think that working for a bank should have made you more sensible with money, all these years credit has been available like sweets and as a bank employee you would have known all the loopholes to get more “free” money not realising that all this was a lie. At least you can enter your 40’s with pride that your debt will be gone once and for all. I think it’s very liberating. Oh Bonglecat, I am soooooooo jealous of your Phantom tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mumof3plusoh – oh no! I’d be absolutely beside myself if I had all those
vouchers and couldn’t use them!
Tirlittan – congratulations on getting rid of another card!!! You are sooooo close to 50% and it’s great to hear that you’re still on track to be debt free by Christmas.
Nctmum – loved your post about doing ballet for the first time, I almost saw a smile and tutu on your avatar despite the gun! Are you going to go back???
Superheavy – I’m not in the financial industry in the banking sense but I am an accountant... does that count?! I think the reason most of us are on here is because we’ve all been reckless with our spending. I often wonder if the euro crashes what implications that will have on everyone and how people will cope. It’s a frightening thought! Hahaha I’ve only just caught up to yesterdays posts and I’m still 3 pages to go!
Choclover – it drags you down each day when you don’t have any money. Nothing affected me as much as when I looked at my bank account and there was nothing, the banks wouldn’t extend any credit, I scraped some pennies together that I found in a drawer just to buy some pasta and soup to last me weeks as I had nothing left. I’ve had too many of those moments to EVER have credit again after this (well, apart from a mortgage that is although I’m still nervous about having that!) Yes but that £5 is another £5 closer to your DFD!!!
Lemonpopsicle – nothing is worth working hours and hours to pay for “stuff”. When you stop living your lives then that’s the time to stop and change and it you definitely have done so well done and it’s great having you on board.
Mrso2b – thanks hun, how are you getting on?
Kerri_dfw – superb news on moving in with your OH hun, I know how long you’ve been “campaigning” for this!!! Even better with how much money it’s going to save you both especially in such an important year for him. How long now until he’s back from Canada??? Are you excited about the craft fair? Do you have everything ready???
Dd1981 – thank you for your lovely comments hun, it’s really nice to hear that it is appreciated although this thread would be nothing without everyone on this thread paying off their debts. I may be letting the cat of the bag early by telling you all this but we have just gone over the £400k mark!!! What an awesome achievement!!!
Kissykissykaren41 – It’s mad cos you will actually want your payday to come round again soon but not because you’ve run out of cash, it’s so you can update your numbers and pay off more debt!!!! Keep finding those pennies!!!
K30lly – I wish I could help with the ebay issue but I’m afraid I am a hopeless case!!!
Starnac – whoop whoop on your payment, you’re doing fab hun!
1stTimer – Awesome news selling your laptop for that amount, you’re soooo close to 10%!!!
Tirlittan – I always wonder the same things, I have loads of stuff that I think will really sell and then Jakes-mum tells me that empty perfume bottles sell! Weird!
Camuk81 – hope the painkillers/antibiotics work soon hun and you start to recover x Hmmmm I wouldn’t like to see those chickens etiher...
Fritterprincess – it’s lovely to hear from you again and I love that you’re a 50%!!! How are you doing besides being at 50%? Oh I agree that it did take a lot of guts for affordmylife to come back and make such a lovely apology, it’s just good to have her back.New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T
