Just an update on my transfer.
On Saturday the assistant in branch consolidated the two accounts online, and she thought the transaction would show on my screen the same day.
By Tuesday (yesterday) nothing was showing and I phoned and was advised that it takes between 3 -5 working days.
The same day I received an email and text message from Nationwide confirming this.
Checking my screen this morning the two ISAs are now consolidated into the Flex ISA Saver, just need to update the passbook.0 -
Hi Just handed my consolidation form in at my local NW branch only to be told by the supervisor that I could not consolidate these funds I insisted she speak with the manager who was also unaware she then contacted the ISA team at head office as I would not accept the negative answer, she did contact them and then came back and agreed that it can be done so clearly they are not telling front line staff or branch managers only where they have to. Not really living up to the claim they are on the savers side!0

I've just had a totally opposite experience in my small local branch.

Can I transfer an M&S ISA into the flexclusive ISA? My transfer fron an existing NW ISA went smoothly but I forgot to ask about an external one.0
-
No reason why not.0

I thought the external ISA needs to be transferred into another Nationwide ISA first, and then from there into the Flexclusive?0
-
I thought that after they changed their mind you could just fill in the form and transfer it in as per any other external ISA transfer?0

That should work now - if it does not and you still have another ISA with Nationwide transfer to that ISA and then move the monies on-line with internet banking to the Flexclusive ISA.0 -

I think it should work but wondered if anyone has actually done it. I do have another ISA with NW - 3 year FRISA which matures in December but it doesn't accept transfers in.0
