Nationwide Flexclusive ISA - 4.25%, instant access

I think I'm right in saying that for a fixed rate ISA you cannot put the proceeds into a different account without using a form. i. e. not on-line.
You may have to use as a temporary home, an Online or E ISA, then transfer it out of there.
Mine is in instant access (Online ISA Iss 4) and I've transferred just over £1k to the Flexclusive ISA and left £3 to keep it open.
Knowing my husband, he won't have done anything about his matured Fixed Rate ISAbut it looks like it defaults to an instant access account anyway so should be fairly to transfer

Hooloovoo..
I would be tempted to to wait until they move your monies back to your e-ISA and then simply move the monies back again, without saying a word! But only do that once you are sure they have reset your ISA allowance for this year, by transferring £1 from your Flexaccount to the Flexclusive ISA.0 -

I have to admit that plan did occur to me. But I was considering being more conservative and waiting until I had used my full allowance this year before quietly moving funds back over again.
It's slightly annoying, this is the first year I haven't had the full allowance ready to go in right at the beginning, and that's only because I have been aggressively paying down the mortgage. Which, ironically, charges a lower rate than I get on the Flexclusive ISA. I know I know ...0 -
Quick update ...
Money has been moved back into my e-ISA except for one quite large transfer that they seem to have missed / forgotten about.
Yearly allowance has been restored to the correct value. I've just tried transferring in some money from my FlexAccount and it worked, and also correctly incremented the used allowance figure.
So finally I am back to square one and I can use the rest of the allowance for the year.
Tempted to just transfer it all right back in again, but it's with the Ombudsman now so I will await their findings.0 -
Any idea how long it might take?
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/faq/answers/complaints_a6.htmlWe look at each case carefully – and the time it takes varies significantly. It can depend on:- how complex the case is and
- how long it takes us to get the information we need, to get to the bottom of your complaint.
Hopefully it will be more like a few weeks rather than a few months, given this is a pretty clear cut case.0 -
Hi there
I've read through the last few pages of this thread and most of it seems to relate to funding this account for 2012/13. Apologies in advance if this question has already been asked but......
My question relates to 2013/14 and new money. Yes I'm super keen for April !!
Can someone tell me if this account already has clauses in its T&C that will stop me transferring my full 13/14 allowance to it in April to receive the 4.25% on this until the end of November 2013?
Cheers in advance0 -
It has no clause preventing it. It is my intention to use it for next years allowance.0

I believe that you will be able to do that without a problem.
I will probably do that unless there is an amazing account to transfer to. Will have to think what will happen to the rate for the last 5 months.0 -
