House exchanged on Friday!!!! Completes on 18th July and we will be minus a mortgage :j
Well the final two ebayers paid so I need to get parcels off today.
I cleared my clothes and shoes yesterday - I managed to also get OH to part with 2 pairs of shoes (painful experience though for all concerned!) 6 black sacks later, I have a fairly tidy walk-in wardrobe. I think there will need to be more thinning but I was exhausted as it took about 6 hours to clear that much!
I also managed to empty more moving boxes too.
Saturday was spent hacking down a 12 foot square bush in the garden to half its size - shredding and composting, so no freecycling was done.
I have loads of kitchenwares to get rid of still, although I have managed to pass some onto a friend who wanted first refusal.
OH's desk arrives today. I will post before and after photos of the office once it is straight.
Out:
2 ebay parcels (hopefully later today)
2 bags of recycling
6 black sacks of clothes/shoes to charity shop
2 sacks of refuse
1 box of paper from the office plus some RHS magazines that a freecycler didn't collect.
In:
A desk, return and pedestal (hopefully)
Pigpen - I admire your tenacity!
I need to start listing on turbolister ready for the next cheap ebay listing day, I have slowed to a halt. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I'm new to all this but I have been following the thread and wanted to add what I did today!
OUT:
Three carrier bags of toys to the charity shop.
A framed picture of Marilyn to the charity shop.
Two carrier bags of daughter's clothes into the loft just incase the baby I'm expecting is a girl, if not they will go to the charity shop. (the clothes, not the baby!!)
Two carrier bags of rubbish from my daughter's room out into the dustbin.
IN:
A Barbie video and Maisy Mouse video from the charity shop but I told daughter it's cheaper than renting from the library and when she's had enough of them they can go back to the charity shop.
Did I do okay for my first day??
Oh, and I'm planning on Freecycling a pile of magazines and books about Marilyn.
I also have two George Michael calenders from 1997, do you think I could freecycle them? Would anyone be interested??
Am I allowed to freecycle folic acid tablets? I have half a packet that I won't be needing anymore? Didn't know if you can put stuff like that on freecycle?
I'm a novice to all this!I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!
I seem to have a nasty habit of killing threads!0 -
Two charity bags left at the door and our oldest lad has tidied his room (sort of) as he wants his girlfriend to call round -I said no due to the mess ...........lol So, there's one bag of old clothes for the charity shop to go.
-when he eventually brings it down the stairs..............!!
In this clear up of his I've gained another shoe box - been bleating for shoe boxes to cover for gift boxes.......now I've got two, plus a beer box that OH gave me and I'm starting to feel a bit cluttered againMary

IN = 1 plant pot with strawberry plants
OUT= 2 bin bags of old clothes"The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0 -
I'm hooked on flinging. Its so fantastic one you get out of the hording metality. I've stopped buying 2 of everything, like whe shopping at M&S i'd buy not 1 skirt but 2. especially ifnreduced price. But now thats STOPPED. today I'm feeling very pleased, saw a lot of very nice plants at garden centre much reduced price about 1/4 of original. formally I would have spent £20 or £30 on these bargins and planted them in my shady garden and hoped theyd survive. But instead I bought just a pot of strawberry plants for by the back door where its sunny. totally different mindset.
then this afternoon I cleared out 2 bags of nice clothing, but which I havent worn or were expensive but are now too small, and some old clothes I wear all the time. Hording is pointless, I'll never wear them ( the nice but small stuff) and now I get to wear my better stuff instead of the old stuff, coz I'e flung them too, so am feeling better as am wearing better clothes instead of leaving them in wardrobe until they are out of fashion !."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0 -
I need to get back on the bandwagon - my room is in mid declutter and it looks like a bomb has hit it0

I am toying with the idea of doing a car boot sale...maybe...possibly..0

Yay! :j the playtable has finally left the building - was beginning to think I'd never get rid of it.
That means that I've been able to finally get all the right furniture into the right kids bedrooms, and we can start clearing the last of the toys out of the front room into said furniture.
I may even finally have those 'after' pictures of eldest's new bedroom (previously known as the toy-mess) soon
