Hiya everyone,
I have also tried to start de-cluttering as i have so much stuff.
I found bank statements, papers, documents, utility bills ect from 1995 and have kept them all up until present day, have tried to shred some and throw away (recycled) but cant seem to throw others away.
I have got school books, silly sentamental things from school ect from over 13 years ago.
Can anyone give some easy starting advice ?
I signed up to flylady but ended up spending too much time reading everything on computer and not doing anything.
I have got 4 boxes with these stickers on them - "Throw Away, Give Away, Put Away & Ebay" but not throwing anything away - just moving things back and forth.I REALLY COULD DO WITH SOME HELP !!
COULD A THREAD BE STARTED WITH A STEP BY STEP GUIDE OF WHAT TO DO - STARTING WITH A LITTLE EACH DAY ?~~~~~~~~~~~~:kisses3: "In Raising Your Children;" :kisses3:"Spend Half As Much Money n Twice As Much Time."0 -
The boxes are a good idea, though in theory everything is for eBay in my house - except it's just not moving!! :rotfl:

I'm worried that I'll start will all good intetions, and then give up - maybe we should be like Weightwatchers, declare what we have achieved each week and then maybe the shame of failure will keep me goingYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0

I've started my decluttering. I find it easier to start with the area that bugs you the most eg the groaning bookshelves, the childrens toy boxes, the shed. When that bit is done move onto the next. I find the most difficult bit is then getting the stuff to the charity shop or recycling centre, my car boot is full of my decluttering efforts, tomorrows job I think.MFW 1/5/08 £45,789 Cleared mortgage 1/02/13

I've been putting lots on ebay in the last 6 weeks or so. Made about £200 and it's all been clothes/stuff we've never or will never agin use. It's great to effectively make money from nothing ......Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0

OK, what if anyone who is up for it, we start tomorrow by sorting our wardrobe - anything we haven't worn for 12 months, or is at least one size too small, we Ebay, bin or charity shop, and yes ladies, that goes for shoes too :eek:You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
